I thought he might have fixed that by now – but then again the man's on holidays. You can fix it yourself if you like. The reason units are appearing at coordinates (0,0) is because the "randomize" modifier for the CreateUnit events has been placed after the "locations" entry. It should be before. The word "randomize" is therefore being read as the first set of coordinates, producing the null values (0,0). InCapital overrides the listed coordinates and that explains why it works.
While you're at it, you might want to comment out @debug at the head of the file. That'll speed up your loading times.
Oh and those LotR movies are overrated. The second one plain sucks. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Although, on the bonus disc for the third film Jackson reveals an alternative scene that he had shot for the confrontation between Sauren and Viggo. |
Somehow this doesn't surprise me. I don't think Peter Jackson/Fran Walsh would recognise the word, subtlety, if it walked up and tore them each a new arsehole. Obviously, neither would I.
Man, I'm going to have to start paying Curt as my PR man.

The new zip will arrive sometime tommorow - And I am welcoming any suggestions on the irrigation...
The farmland I want to keep though, because I like the look...

I wouldn't be surprised if the Feebles made an appearance...
With Elijineezer Woods as Frodo, they nearly did!

Tolkien would have thrashed them both with his cane...
...he was an Oxford academic, after all!

The additional film footage makes all the difference... |
No I haven't. Whilst they may be an improvement over the originals, I fail to see how additional footage can undo the cheesy script writing prevalent in the rest of the film. I still might buy them, though.

Still, overall I think it was an amazing achievement... |
With a budget like that, it ought to be. The problem is that when that kind of money is at stake, the marketing men step in with their demographic charts and you end up with movie-making-by-the-numbers.

The interminable Helm's Deep battle is a great cure for insomnia – I remember checking my watch a number of times in the cinema – always a bad sign. I preferred Pelennor Fields, although both battles bordered on farce at times.

I haven't seen that movie. I found Elijah tolerable, but he's not everyone's bag. For the most part I didn't mind the casting, although IMO the Arwen scenes with Liv Tyler were a negative.

You realise of course that around here the only currency is Civ2 gold. You might have to install the no-limits patch, though.
Now that I've said my piece, I'll cease this threadjacking immediately…

I discovered a small bug (well, 2, to be precise), but the good news is: it's easy to correct!
I suppose you didn't know at first what you wanted to do with the Gem of Hidden Wisdom, because here is what happened in my game:
1) I took Ralal's Tomb, and upon entering I got the same message twice (and if you look in the events, it's there twice ); apart from that (unecessary, I'm old but not enough to forget things after half a second ) repetition, the event works fine and the Gem Wonder is indeed in Ralal's Tomb
Note: looking at the event file, the repetition bestows another improvement, and doesn't speak about the Gem!; just check!
2) When I took Arkunsol, I got a message telling me the Imperion gave the same Gem, which I of course already had!
So if I were you, I would just check what one gets with those 2 events...
And about the pedia: doesn't the once/twice removed trick work with ToT as it does with MPGE??
Now, that would make a good reason to insist with the "lesser civ version"...

OK, now I'm reporting on a few things I noticed in my game which are gameplay related!
I am playing as the Bursar, ath Prince level equivalent
I am in 27, and I just took Ironfire Peak
The only problem is that I think it was too easy... All I needed was Captain Lopaz and Irene, with rushbuilding Sentinels to garrison the cities as I took them!
The Ancient have many units, and powerful ones! But the problem is: they don't behave agressively with them!
I had a few Ancient units wandering around one of my city for about 10-20 turns without EVER attacking it!
And when I attacked the Ancient on their home ground, they just wandered (in huge numbers) around the cities as I took them one by one!
OK, I might have been lucky in some parts of it: just after I before I attacked Smashrule, I noticed an Ancient stack south of the city, so I thought: well, maybe there are 3-4 units in that stack, so it might be worth delaying my attack for one turn to kill them!
And believe me, it was worth the wait: I was quite pleased when I read that I had destroyed 58 units!
And after having taken Smashrule, another stack appeared at the same spot, so I thought I might redo the same: this time I got 135 of them b*st*rds! (up to now, my Red Front "record" was 93! :evilgrin .
And after I had taken Direhold, a lot of Ancient Units kept on going round the city, so I thought I might try to go to Ironfire at once, which I did with ONLY Lopaz and Eddy euh, I mean Irene! I took me only 2 turns to take the city...
So I don't know if my game is representatvie of the Ancient behaviour, and if you can do something about their agressivity, but at least if the stacks are events created, try to spread the units a bit more so one can't destroy them all in 1 blow!
Another thing is that the Zatarn didn't develop at all: they have only one city (Temple of Sekra, which I am about to take!); did the other testers notice this lack of development too??
Note: my comments here don't mean the game isn't enjoyable, but I believe that if something could be done about that it would be even better!
