I would just like to comment: God bless John Lynch and the rest of the Denver Broncos defense. With Billy Volek neutralized tonight, maybe I'll actually have a chance to pull this upset over Zop and claim the AFFL title after a horrible season last year.

(Interesting factoid: I'm in a second championship game this week in another Yahoo league, and my opponent there just so happened to grab Volek two weeks ago, and had Bennett as well. *insert evil laugh here*)

You cannot believe how much that hurt my fantasy teams, well, the 4 or 5 I have with Titans, i.e., just about all my play off contenders. Oh well, I wouldn't have made the championship over at FFZ without Volek/Bennett, but that was downright wretching to watch - the Scrooge paid me a visit on Christmas and he was wearing orange and blue. I should have known better than to rely so heavily on Tennessee going up against the Denver D

Pittsburgh is 14 - 1, but you wouldn't do that well having a lot of Steelers on your fantasy team (except for their defense).

Congratulations to Reismark for winning the Poly 1 FF league; Billy Volek totally upstaged me putting me six points short of victory

At least I'm laying the smackdown on Imran's candy ass for third place in the Poly 2 FF league

Congrats to reismark for winning the Poly 1 Fantasy Football league. The #4 seed goes all the way!

---------

I still can't believe that call against the Bears. When both of the national announcers flat-out agree it's a TD, in favor of the Bears -- that ALONE should tell you how obvious it was. The players and coaches were sure, too -- Both the Bears offense and the Detroit defense left the field. To miss both the original call, and the replay call, is unforgivable. The resulting draft pick had better be a difference-maker...

Reamed hard, no lube.

Has anyone explained that bad call on the Bear touchdown that was called a "non catch."

Has the league apologized?

It'd be like laughing at the Eagles for losing to the Rams tonight if they kept out McNabb and didn't have T.O. (which they don't, of course).

Though if the Falcs won, I'd laugh really hard at the Saints!

Do I have to get into the argument, once again, of that not EVERY QB has to be Peyton Manning or Dan Marino? If he redefines the position, why does he have to be a pocket passer?

Btw, his season stats at 24, in his 2nd season as starter, are almost EXACT to where John Elway was at that point in his career. The only major difference is that Vick has a ton more rushing yards.

Why did Madden say that Steven Jackson isn't capable of being the back that Marshal Faulk was? That's bull. He almost has the same cutback speed and he's much stronger.

Put an end to popups!

I don't care if he gets the passing yards as Elway.

But I'm saying a running QB needs to learn he has to pass more if they are going to go anywhere. I would cite McNabb as an example. Although perhaps not the best example because they haven't made it to the superbowl . But they've done better than Atlanta.

When he gets 2 superbowl rings like Elway, then I'll be a believer. Actually if he makes it to the supebowl, I'll be a believer.

Madden's a moron. I learned that when he called Troy Aikman the best player in the NFL. Yes this was at the height of his career, but he wouldn't have been **** without Emitt Smith's running game.

What were the odds that Elway would have turned out as good as he did after that 24 year old, 2nd starting season?

I believe he was talking about that Jackson isn't as good in the passing game. Faulk is as good as any #2 WR in the league when out for the pass. And he's great at pass blocking. So far, Jackson, while a great runner, isn't nearly as good in the passing game.

GREAT example! Look at what happened to McNabb's passing numbers when Owens joined the team. He went from an above average QB (who had comparable career stats to Brad Johnson) to MEGA QB.

Atlanta has the crappiest recievers in the league, by FAR. They have a #2 playing as the #1 WR and the rest of their recievers are #3 wideouts at best (though maybe we'll give Jenkins a year or so to prove himself).

When an 11-4 team has the TE be its leading reciever with less than 50 catches, the WRs suck, badly.

in this case I blame the team, not Vick.

While they are at it, can they also provide a better Offensive Line?

The O-Line is below average and they only look servicable because Vick can get out of trouble so much. Of course, Vick has been sacked the most of anyone in the league, showing you how bad that line really is.

the o-line can't be that bad. They've had a good year running the football with an average running back at best.

Suffering from ads?

Run blocking and pass blocking are two distinct skills.

And Dunn is a pretty good RB. He has a career, YPC of 4.1. Duckett is also is a good RB who doesn't get many carries.

It's a case of Thunder and Lightening (the real deal, not that failed experiment of the Giants with Barber and Dayne ) splitting the yards and TDs. If each was a clear cut #1, they'd easily break 1200 yards.
