Hive Report 2184:
Hive
Chairman Lazerus and Shimoda sat viewing an overhead projection of University HQ, the tall central dome spiralling above the myriad of other buildings surrounding its base. Zooming in and out at random they could see citizens wandering about their daily business unaware of being watched from the heavens above.
Chairman Lazerus : "What do you estimate the casualties will be from this ?"
Shimoda : "Trial runs show that around a third of citizens will die within minutes of being hit by the gas while upto two thirds can die within an hour, however taking into account the amount of talents they have down there coupled with their medical facilities that death toll might be slightly optimistic, i'd say the figure will be closer to half the bases population."
Chairman Lazerus : "Good. Those who don't wish to join the greater good would only waste resources being policed once we conquer the bases anyways. Equipping this type of weapon onto all needlejets will prove just as devastating in the psychological battle with the other factions then the deaths it can inflict aswell."
Shimoda : "Yes it sure is handy that the victor writes history when it comes to using such .. methods"
Chairman Lazerus' head turned slowly to Shimoda as he calculated the words that had just been spoken before concluding that the scientist had infact managed to make a rare joke rather then suffering a crisis of conscience. The two sat amused knowing that the UN would condemn the actions and add to the Hives 5000 year long economic sanction, but such consequences were irrelevant for either the Chairman would be dead or ruling over planet in under a century.
Needlejet Pilot : "Approaching University HQ now. Seeking Chairmans authorisation to equip chemical weapon"
Chairman Lazerus : "Authorisation granted pilot"
Needlejet Pilot : "Equipping Chemical weapon now and engaging target, facing small amounts of incoming fire ...... Target acquired ..... Releasing weapon now.."
Cameras focused on the bomb from several directions as it dropped down and the guiding mechanism kicked in pushing it towards the intended south side of the central dome to combine with the wind currents for maximum effectiveness.
Pilot : "Weapon has hit the target and package has been delivered as instructed. For the Hive."
Screens throughout the room began relaying images to the Chairman and Shimoda. Scenes of scores of citizens collapsing in the streets, convulsing as they lost all control of bodily functions.
Chairman Lazerus : "Very effective Shimoda, you have saved alot of Hiverian lives in these wars and doomed just as many others."
Shimoda : "It is as you say, if they choose not to follow they are worthless anyways"
Chairman Lazerus : "Kai-Lu is present at Hawk of Chiron examining its usage on the Spartan army there. I want a combined report on the final details of these attacks and the aftereffects of such large scale use within a month. For now I have other matters to attend to."
Shimoda : "Yes Chairman, for the Hive"

Hawk of Chiron Vicinity
Soldier : "General ?"
General Kai-Lus body jerked as he realised he had hesitated, his teeth grinded together in realising his mistake. The Spartan soldiers collapsing to the floor all around Hawk of Chiron, sensor arrays, bunkers, caves within rocky terrain, nothing protected against the nerve gas. The enemy army would soon be decimated by a weapon they could not defend against. "So why the hesitation?" he thought to himself, was it the possibility sending in troops and the equipment failing, the antidote not working or worse that he had actually felt some sort of objection to such attacks.
General Kai-Lu : "Rover squads 2 through 7 proceed with your attack now, further aerial attacks should be taking place now leaving minimal resistance within the base"
General Kai-Lu turned around to face the probe team Zheng-Jian had sent. - "So you're the geeks in trenchcoats that are going to steal some technology to double the power of my troops weapons?"
The operatives looked at each other through their holo-glasses before the central man nodded his head to the General.
General Kai-Lu : "Well your rides waiting, you'd better be quick before they sabotage their equipment"
Several soldiers who had their guns drawn and aimed at the operatives ushered them out of the command center, the General disliked people whos sole purpose was to undermine and steal.
A Fortnight Later at Hawk of Chiron
Spartan citizens trudged about their eyes glazed over, all badges and personal objects torn from their clothing and replaced with the Hives symbol and a badge of the Chairman. Hiverian military police stood on street corners every few blocks looking for any Spartans that had yet to be re-educated. A loud screech echoed throughout the city as the speakers perched ontop of pylons and any high rise building burst into life followed by a silence that lasted minutes as everybody gazed upwards in anticipation.
" ........ All praise the Chairman. He alone will lead the citizens of planet to enlightenment. The Chairman is our saviour. Do not be fooled by other factions, they are here to destroy our only hope. Worship the Hive. Forget yourself and work for the greater good. You will obey the Chairman.... All praise the Chairman. Until the Believers land in my territory, I have not lost anything. Things are a stalemate between myself and the Morganites but I do plan to hurt them...oh yes....

Provost Dacole this Jong-Hui speaking on behalf of the Great Chairman Lazerus. You are again offered the chance to surrender to our benevolant Chairman, your defences have been annihilated and your destruction is imminent. Academgorodok has already fallen and soon you will be engulfed. Renounce now your insane notions of democracy and swear allegiance to the Hive and by the Chairmans mercy your citizens will be spared to live in peace on the continent you have claimed. I just need to receive the correct year. Please send correct year dacole, I have no ill will towards you. Neither Lazerus nor Dacole are in my plans at the moment because I have not encountered either one of them yet. If I can keep Sister Miriam from becoming an enemy I think I can beat back CEO Morgan.
