We don't have flats here. We have apartments. roommate is far easier to say than apartmentmate.

I guess they could call themselves living roommmates.

Like Boris pointed out, we've simplified. Roommate stands for all! After all, 'room' doesn't have to stand for one room in an apartment, but can mean a space as well

Well, first of all he doesn't know **** about behaving. You might have pissed on the floor a little, which is annoying as hell, but bringing a stick is too much. Because you never know! You're thinking 'oh man is he going to hit me with that'... and why not, he brought it after all.. he must of been thinking it.

Maybe he is a bit shy, and t hat's why he didn't mention about it... and then he went straight to plan C, which is pressuring and threatning. SO, I'd say it was pretty normal, except he skipped few phases, which of course is not cool.

What can I say.. sounds stupid of him IMO. What you can do now is to be more careful, and if he gets pissed off again and comes waiving with sticks or other objects to your face about something else that seems too little of a reason to be acting like that, you know you have a violent bastard as your roommate . You can a) Hang on. Odds are he's not going to physically attack you. b) find another place.

And I wouldn't go wrestle that person.. because you have to live with that person for an unknown time. Wrestling really doesn't help that situation.
