Oxford Would be a great place to have a 'Polymeet, and nearer to Bristol that some people seemed to think would be easier to get to last time.

With one car you could bring Anthony and Lee along, I'd be there, those who are in Bristol and Wales have easy access... Oxford could be easier.

Apparently I get entitlement to two free nights or something a year at Univ, although I have never actually used it...I will have to give it a go at some point. Then you'll be stuck with me for, well, at least a day

It is. I'm betting tube to Luton, flights to Scotland and train to St. Andrews is less than the train to, say, Bristol or Paris.

I'm in Stuttgart this year, which makes it far more difficult. And I have absolutely no idea of whether I'll have a vacation after March, since I absolutely don't know where I'll work once I'm done with my studies (hopefully in March)

IW: London's far easier for Cambridge. Cambridge to Oxford is a nasty journey, 4 hours on the 'direct' bus, or in and out of London on the train.

It's a longer journey to Oxford, but it's not difficult. And its compensated for because I could stop in at some friends while I'm there.

Theoretically, yes.

London seems a sensible idea to me. It's a frightening enough prospect just meeting people for he first time, doing so in a strange city would be enough to hospitalise me with some kind of nervous disorder before I had even got on the train.

Besides, part of me misses the South.
