I know what you mean. My Hussars have similar trouble with the Ottoman Janissaries. Only big stacks, or Armies can move forward.

Artillery does good on defense, though - weakening them to the point, where they can be killed easier.

Terrible news! The Prussians have RAZED Kiev, and taken Smolensk. That is the fifth city, that falls to them! I think it is time for the Tzar to start drafing units...

We have taken out two of the four Janissaries, that were sitting in Chrisinau. Hopefully, the French force can take the city now. We also plan to liberate Mostar soon. This will probably end the Austrian war with the Ottomen.

The auto movement is bugged in PBEMs, and the last player in the turn order gets double moves if using it. Don't cheat, Paddy.

ahh they may get a double move, but they are not able to move next turn, so if they are not blocking a unit or some thing like that, then it is not a cheat

The war against the English is getting worse in Spain.
Two of my Cavalry Armies have been decimated from 13hps, to 2 and 3 respectively.

My lads in the new Austrian territories are slowly healing

Mostar liberated from the evil Ottomen.

Chrisinau has three defenders. All units have been damaged, but we killed none. Hopefully the Voltigeurs can kill them for good.

Austria signed a temporary truce with Britain. We are sending their maps to Russia, and France.

I plan to kick the Prussians in the guts as soon as the Ottomen are contained. Can Russia sign peace with the Ottomen? Because if not, we would have to take Istanbul first, and that would be a pain. Both for Austria, and for France, as we would be forced to wage two-front wars. Russia is obviously not able to keep the Prussians at bay.

Paddy, this was my original plan - why I was truly surprised about the war with the Ottomen. And I did say exactly that when it happened. Now you know.

As further progress would be too slow, we decided to make peace with the Ottomen. They are at war with Prussia, and Britain. If France can makle peace too, the Ottomen would be fighting for us. Let others face the Janissaries.

Austrian units are moving north as we speak. Roads are free for the French forces too. We plan to declare war in four months (2 turns).

Russia certainly does have some issues old chap

France has committed to assisting in anyway we can. Please know that I am massing forces now, advance units have been dispatched into Prussia. These advanced units will meet up with the advancing Austrians to crush the Prussian interior. It is hoped here in France that this will make the Prussian High Command turn from his attack on Russia and be forced to rush home to deal with these attacks.

On other note, France has peace with the Otto, and the British are advancing through Spain. Gibraltar just fell.

Paddy, not that you need help after helping Russia.

Austria is moving units north. So do the Ottomen.

War will be declared soon, but we will attack the Prussian cities only after all Armies are in place (3-4 turns). The buggers have metros, which means a tough defensive bonus. Hopefully declaring war will be enough to draw some units away from Russia.

I hope your armies can handle Britain, while you help with Prussia. Losing cities worries me.

As to Austria, we can and will declare war next turn. But there is no point attacking cities, before we have all units brough from the south. I hope the Prussians will understand that, and try to attack. At the very least, Austrian units will kill any Prussian that happens to be inside our borders.
