I am sorry Modo. I really am. But my Byzantines do have the largest military in the world which isn't very easy to maintain.

Such huge military is difficult to control. Even my position isn't secure if I deny them conquest and plunder. I did want to do that, but if I had tried to stop them, not only would I have failed, but I would also have been slain by my own soldiers.

So in a selfish effort to preserve my life and position, I ordered a full scale attack on Edo. I grieve for the poor citizens of this open and peace loving city.

Oh, and by the way, some distant tribe of man-eating savages declared war on Byzantines for this act of aggression on their "friends" Japanese. Good! Let them try to beat my war hardened hordes of ruthless warriors and archers.

Yeah, it's a setting called NOAIPATROL in one of the configuration files (don't know which). Only one of the players should change this setting (don't know if the first one or the last one). But Modo knows.


Also, more info for Modo:

Your scouting warrior was killed by my archer near Constantinople. My archer was regular, stayed regular at 2/3 HP.

My warrior destroyed irrigation and road, but this was outside of your borders.
