Grandpa Troll, I fear they will attack. The barbs use the NW-SE (7-3 on the numerical keyboard) as the main attack route. If you happen to sit on it, you can be sure they will come.

the barb packs are definitly out in force in this game

I would have said good for unit promotion, but so many of them, my unit that got promoted one turn got run down and decimated the next

The Civ3 barbs can not raze/capture cities...

And the numbers come from the map size, and the ridiculous research speed.

Oh ok so they simply attack a size 1 city and get nothing from it?


I thought if a city was small and only had a defended or two it would be razed under such an attack?

Why would they be modded? None of my civs can build Scouts, and they started without. Weirdness.

Carthage is Paddy's realm. That civ normally can build no Scouts. The Zulu can, and should, so no problem there, Grandpa Troll.

been makiong and twisting these games for a long time

one of the fun things I do is make a game, then twist it many many times...

and the goal is to not write out all the twists and tweaks...

that way I can enjoy things as the come along

if you find all this too hard to continue with - well that is your call

there is another component, I will try to get a pic from my files shortly on this last matter
