Off the top of my head, here's some basics on what factions have what:
Byzantium is rich and technolgically advanced, and has a small standing army of elite soldiers. Their Cataphracts are medium-armour cavalry and are excellent. The fortifications at Constantinople (modern-day Instantbul) are the best in the world.
The Ostrogoths and Visigoths are famous for their hordes of light cavalry. Lots of troops, little to no fortifications.
The Huns are at this point no longer a nomadic people, they've got a lot of subject peoples who won't be on horseback. Still, their cavalry archers are excellent.
The Britons were later famous for their archery, but I don't know if they've gotten that down yet.
Persia is fairly rich, with a standing army heavily devoted to cavalry and chariots. They are still using war elephants at this time.
The North African Tribes are nomadic raiders, riding camels almost as much as horses.
That's all I know off the top of my head.
One distinct change I want to make from the Hellenistic NES is archers. There were no archers at all in that.

You'll have to take that up with Nuclear Master. I expect descriptive geographical and place names will work, e.g. "Extreme Eastern Lugdunensis IV" or "Around modern day Bruges". If I find an ancient map with more names, I'll link/post it.

yeah. Mountain ranges haven't changed in the last 1500 years. No need to be on this map. Anyway, still working on the units, collecting information on nations at the same time. Once that is done the stats should go quickly. Look for the stats on Sunday.

Once a week is fine for me. I can agree with Tass's proposal, too. I'm just worried if somebody (like me) is busy at the time or "forgets" NESsing, how long we're going to wait for orders?
