I said people, that is plural.

Although, I must say that your little angry smiley does suggest that you may intend to play unfairly in the next NES, should the stats arrive.

So, I'm thinking of taking up the job of stats, becasue I'm felling just a tad impatient.

Does anybody object, or really want to do stats? Remeber you have to be fair, and somewhat realistic*.

I know that sounds silly coming from me, but when it is a part of the game as crucial as statistics, you can't just ask an eightball what the numbers should be.

He's kind of disappeared, and the stats were due Monday. This the one problem with the whole interent thing, is that people can't always meet deadlines, b/c of prior commitments, or power outages, sickness, girl problems, the good stuff that leads up to girl problems, you know how it goes.

Does anybody have any ideas on what we could do to speed up the whole stats "thing"?

I was thinking we could post ballpark numbers. Like between, x and y.

I have one question, though. What is the most efficient way of going about editing the maps? Or, if it's easier, I could mod, and I could just get someone to make the edits for me.

You need Photoshop to be able to efficiently work with the map. While I´ve also tried other programs, Photoshop seems to be the best for this task.

You keep the map (as it is now) as the background layer and then have a new layer for borders, one for armies, one for cities, one for Text and so on. This way you can simply drag and drop armies instead of erasing them, repainting the map behind their old position and then redrawing the army at the new spot... Same goes for text and especially for changing borders!

You guys don’t deserve stats. Instead you get epic poetry.

There once was a man named foolish, who volunteered for many a task
Good natured and industrious, he’d do anything one could ask
Unfortunately for all, he tended to stall, and for orders that were tall, he couldn’t keep his eye on the ball
In the case of some particular stats, it was hard to find facts, other burdens were growing quite fast,
And the deadlines came and passed
It was quite a pain in the ass.
In typical fashion, he let it slide
Other NESers
stomped their feet and cried
Bipolarbear came storming for poor foolish’s hide
While Lord N’s eyes devilishly gleamed
Alas, the Attila Freeman Alliance was nowhere to be seen
Empires of strength grew under wise guidance of 89, 64, and bp,
Things were shaping up quite nicely, they all agreed
But something was missing, lacking, without;
‘Tis just not a game w’out Tass’s gnashing and shouts
All was in chaos! ruins! and death!
Sad girls were crying
Kittens were dying
Pigs were flying
One could even hear (in another universe, ‘tis true)
Deus Micha the Mighty sputter, thunder, and turn blue
(that’s what photoshop will do to you)
But of course it all ends happily,
It must, by custom and law
No one doubted the winter of delay would come to a suitable thaw
So gather round, noble friends, quench your thirst, doff your hats
Be thankful I gave you
This verse and that
Because I sat down and wrote this
Instead of the stats.

The huns have announced that a massive militaristic campaign has been launched. The training of any and all able bodied and wiling huns men has begun! The hun men are being strictly shaped into an even better fighting machine.

With the current available resources, all borders that can be fortified, are being fortified, as strongly and as heavily as possible. 24 hrs a day there is are guards patrolling and a warning system of couriers have been setup.

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

I will start a new thread soon. I just want to write some things to explain the updates, and the like. I also want to format some stuff. Would you mind doing me a favor and PM'ing some people that haven't picked nations? Tuberski wanted to get started with NES'es as well, but he seems to have forgotten, so hopefully we can get him involved as well.

Suffering from ads?

Yes, we need to move it. Quickly. I have Vasconians to "assimilate".

Tired of ads?

May I first state "Cool!" and second request an alliance with the Hunnic Empire under Attila's successor, Bipolarbear the Hun?

Indeed, the fearsome poetry of the Vandals is a force to be reckoned with.

We have no plans of such an invasion. Our only goals right now are getting rid of those Vasconians and Sveborummers that are polluting our glorious peninsula with their outstanding weakness.

BTW, where are the Vandals on the map?

Edit: Ahh.. nevermind. They are in Africa.

We are actually now the Puns. We were goign to be Invader Zimbobway, but the democratic process ruled it out.

The leader of the Puns is Jesuszilla (son of godzilla).

[personal note ooc:] Seeing how pissy everybody got in the last NES, Tassy's modern one, I will state that I will officially keep the sanity levle high, and the insanity in check. And by the way, in Punic (language of the puns) It isn't pronounced Jesus, it is pronounced Jay-Zeus, a combination of the god of stupid jokes and bad interviews (Jay Leno, and the god of thunder and the gods (Zeus)

Might I suggest that we establish a policy in the NES of placing random (yet funny) bs in italics and actual orders in normal text, to avoid confusion and accidental implementation of sarcastic orders? And may I congratulate Bipolarbear on his never-ending source of sarcasm?
