I think that Bush shall under the pressure of Big Oil and the business establishement end the "foreignt policy adventurism" and shall do foreignt policy much more like his father did it.
In the republican party is currently a low profile conflict going on between the business establisement(they want a foreignt policy like Bush his father did it: right winged but on a rational/ally-friendly way) and the real haviks. I think Bush shall side with the first(they have much more cash and bush his father on their side).
This does NOT mean he shall become much more moderate but it means he shall have a more rational less adventuristic approach. Bush shall spend MUCH more efforts in convincing other nations.
Bush shall set up a well designed pr campaign to get the moderate nations of europe on his side and in all nations except France shall he have some succes. He might even be capable to convince nations like Germany and Belgium to do low risks activities(like sending a few ships) in Iraq or help with the training of Iraqi soldiers. France shall end up in a more isolated position.
Bush his support for the palestain elections(even giving money to the palestain autority) and a recent memo who redefines toture in much more strickt terms are just the begining of his new pr campaign which has as goal: increasing US influence in europe and moderate Islam nations and going back to the Bush senior era US-europe relations.
Most people shall think that I'm completely insane for predicting this. But don't forget that Reagan did a similar foreignt policy shift in his second term (he singed even nuke treaties with the USSR something completely unimaginable in his first term.)
