I had some spare time on the evening of 27th. Thought about making a multiplayer-based wwii-scenario of Europe. Got busy again next morning with RL stuff. Should I scrap my work or try to finish it? Would anyone have any use for yet another map of Europe?
I've done the geography already, but terrain isn't finished yet (ie. the map is all glacier and ocean and there are no rivers).
Edit: Details:
Based on Mercator's projection. Gigamap. British India, US and Siberia included for scenario design reasons. Northern Nordic area edited also for design reasons -- I wanted to make it possible to enter the Arctic ocean directly from the Atlantic without adding additional useless 20 units of height (consisting of nothing but northern Greenland, Baffin Island, Ocean and Siberia... it's not like I'd need them in a ww2-scenario).

It is very much a gigamap...
I've had a closer look at it now... It's very good, but the coastline needs a bit of tweaking here and there to make it look less, um, artificial. Let's see...
The Crimea, the Turkish West coast, the Adriatic coast, Italy (that's always a ***** to do because it's so straight at a smaller scale, so it's hard to avoid making Italy look all blocky), the North African coast (particularly Algeria and Tunisia coast), Estonia, and then also Iceland, Greenland and most of the American coast, particularly Baffin island. Oh, and you left out the Baleares and Cyprus (and Socotra)...
That sounds like a lot, but it's probably all just a matter of changing a few tiles... Well, that's my opinion anyway. I usually try my best to make the radar map look most natural.

I actually found time to finish it after a few weeks, but I didn't have Internet access atm (was changing ISPs) and by the time I got it to work, I had completely forgotten this thread. Someone should've bothered me with a PM, I guess. Very sorry about the delay, I hope nobody has made a similar map in the meantime.
