i dont exactly get the point of your example. just that the player didnt see it coming that he might touch the 24h limit ? if you are away a day or two without notification, the 24h + 24h rule (as it actually is !) will not result in you being nexted. it only matters at all when you are away for longer.

see, the problem is this:

i thought the rule was a certain time limit with extra time given occasionally by the moderator. now i give extra time and get heavy complaints.
then i take the extra time away, reading in your protest that you dont want extra time to be given in this game.
then Dimytes comes and says in some cases there should be extra time given.

now, what would be those cases ?
i dont see that we have a clearly defined rule on that yet. i was okay with the idea that i, as the moderator, make that decision from case to case, believing to be accepted as impartial.
so apparently, it is not okay for you if i do this. alright again. lets say it is not my call to make.
now what rule to apply to this situation ?
Dimytes' statement is somewhat washy. either we define a rule for such a case prior to any specific situation or we say that there wont be extra time at all.
we cant seriously have a discussion each time. someone can always disagree.
so i suggested no extra time at all. and i still get protest.
im out of options... i have no basis on which to issue resends and nextings that will be accepted by a mere 4 players in this game !

well..I feel this game lags a bit and others do as well
I am not against you modderating Math, I think ou do a great job, A#1...its just I have opinions and we often bend, twist and mutialte them

I meant no harm except my point was we have rules and they get circumvented when deemed "acceptabl;e" and other times not

I for real dont want any hard feelings and to help I now concede that I am out of contention and probably was from beginning

Grandpa Troll invokes to 4X PG rule and now concedes

HINT:

I am in the pink way at bottom of page

Great game

never really was a threat

By the way

I picked Corporate Republic in hope gold +science would help but yoked up with Brother Bruce it was indeed a failed plot

Great game

that decision comes to a time where im a bit worried it may in fact have been because of the issue we just discussed. im sorry as ive just been trying to solve that rules issue, so that no one would claim in the future that i was making decisions against the rules. im sad to say that this is creating an impression that my attempt failed.
but if your decision is definite... see you in other games.

I do as troll, I will focus on more interesting games. This one has allready lost my interest. So I concede and leave the game to Stas and Filix to finish it off.

i would have preferred that we actually had clarified that issue and defined the rule more accurately instead of me being accused half a dozen times of interpreting the rules as i feel. well, your decision.
Stas, Filix, are you willing to continue the game alone ?

for the record Math

I have no ill will nor have I had any ill will

BUT

you have/had/did graceously accept moderatorship and as such are the convening authority

24 hour rule or 48 hour rule

the reason was to keep the games going

I am at work now and am so deep in transition I am also behind in a multitude of games

BUT they are not set time limits

I am just..clarifying that I hold you not "responsible" but that overall the rules have NOT BEEN ADHERED TO

I mean if you are moderator then moderate if not then dont

you have the right to make a call..as I do also whence I plucked my hard earned moola down for this game and support of this great gaming/civilization site

I am happy with your job that you have done but feel we strayed too far from the rules..
whos fault is that?

yours for allowing it to happen or ours as players for allowing to to regress to this point?

I say it was my fault as a player and thus made a decision to stop it

Thanks Math for all the hard work and efforts

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I can divide my answer in two parts:

1. to Moderator:

I can say that you did a really great job. Despite all the delays, the game goes pretty fast, comparing to the other games I play. I wish to thank you for it. I think that sometimes rules has to be a little “moderated” concerning the situation, and that is moderator for.

2. to other players:

I see somebody don’t know how to lose? The game is not interesting for someone? For whom? For the winner? Or may be for the one that is one of the equals? Or may be, somebody is not brave enough to admit his total defeat? May be somebody could just say: “I am loser. I do not know how to play”. Or may be I am wrong?
It is very easy to surrender all the country (ranked second on the graph!!!) without firing a shot, and then say “I wish to concentrate on the other games …”. Concentrate how? With what? You think you could lose one game, showing that you can not play at all, and then win the other as a brilliant player? Let’s say: “I wish to concentrate on the games without Stas, because I he is too good for me”

If somebody want to surrender, let’s do it! If moderator can pickup other players for those civs, let’s do it! But I want to here true reasons, not the funny covers. I think I earned it.

As far as I understand the game should end if all players surrender, it not it?

i think it wont be interesting for any player to take over for Troll's civilisation. i guess we should set him to AI.
so i would have to know if Filix wants to keep playing and be looking for a substitute for Dimytes.

Copy of reply to stas since he post private mails here too:
How old are you kid? Can't take it if someone decides to wthdraw from a lost game?

You are truly pathetic.

It takes one CTP game to know your opponent, now I know what and who you are. You only got where you are because of lies and broken deals. It only brings you one step forward. Next step will be far more difficult.

Bla.. Bla..Bla… Do not cover you poor gameplay with your pathetic words. All losers always find reasons in other people. Look at yourself, or you will always be loser.

How could you stop me from the “next step”? Words are not enough for it. Try to learn the game rules. It might help. Knowing who am I will only make you scared. (It already did) As for the deals, remember that there are no eternal friends, only eternal interests.

About Troll, ok let put it on the AI. About Dymmi, I think he is too scared, we need to find a replacement for him. But I think that are no player who can take his part. You all will see it on the next turn when I will publish some documents.

My dear friend, stas.

Can't you see that you are making a fool of yourself by not reading and interpreting correctly what I am writing?

Can't you see that I have conceded from the game since there are nothing more for me to fight for in that game? I know what you have, I know what I have. (Interprete this as I know what sience you have and minimum amount of Plasmatica and I know more are otw and I know the strength of my military force)
The conclusion what to do was not very hard.

1 game = 1 step. As I wrote, it takes one game to know a player. To know if he is a war monger, liar or diplomat.
So this was step 1. Now I know that I will allways be at war with you from turn 1 and that you have no intention to stick to any deals which results in no future deals.

Some players I play against are war mongers then I know I have to be ready for war from turn 1. Some players want to give AL project a go then I know there wont be much conflict until we are closing in on AL project.

No more or less than that.

And you keep throwing flames around you and brag. I can just say one thing about that

You are the angriest winner of a game that I have ever met...

2 Mat: becouse I want everybody to react quickly, I think it improves game speed.

2 Dim:It is very interesting. You have made rules for yourself. But it is only your rules. You have to treat other countries as you wish, but I remember that you work only for the good of your country. If it demands war, there will be war, if it demands peace or alliance let it be. No more or less than that. You have to ready for the war always. If you wanted everybody to play by your rules … See the result. You lose because of your gameplay not because of others do not follow your rules.

and I just want to post

I have no ill will toward anyone

for my part I meant no harm or ill will

I surrendered

Is this not honorable?

I could have killed off my civ but thought better to simply surrender

I agree I was outclassed

I also posted Powergraph to prove my point

I concede I acuse no one of cheating nor do I secretly harbor hate or discontent toward anyone

I thought I was being honorable by conceding and with proof of PG and also all the tech advancements I am behind

Again

I am sorry if anyone was offended

Now

back to being a dead troll

i just got an email from a friend of Stas. he said that Stas is currently very ill and wont be able to play for a few days.
now i could next Filix (who still hasnt played the turn) and Stas, but i think its better if we just wait for either one to return.
