Australia sends a team of election monitors to Russia.
Australia also sends teams of diplomats and ambassadors to the US, Canada, Israel, France, Russia, China, England, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Italy, with the intent to secure an alliance. If I missed anyone, just tell me, and I'll send more.

EDIT: Germany. Request alliance with Germany.

nah, I don’t presently have enough free time to play an additional large country. Gabon suits me just fine.

speaking of which, we also request an ambassador. We are sure it was some bureaucratic oversight that neglected to include us. No one could intentionally leave out or forget about Gabon.

In that case, divert ambassadors from France to Gabon. We apologize for the oversight, and assume that since you requested ambassadors and diplomats, you accept our peace treaty? If so, we welcome you.

We are pleased at was is sure to be just the beginning of a long and extremely fruitful relationship between Gabon and Australia, or at the very least a newspaper topic for the next few weeks. We wish to purchase machinery, both light and heavy industrial manufacturing goods, agricultural technology, and we will be hiring some business specialists to oversee economic development in certain areas. We also have several other cooperative plans we wish you to partake in that we will be announcing soon.

Until next month's free 500 long distance minutes,

To today the Chinese government released plans on the transformation of Chinese Millitary. 500,000 Curent Acitive duty troops will be placed into reserve and will be cut from the government payroll. The expected savings from this move will be directed towards the training of the CHinese millitary. The Chinese government also is planing to build its first aircraft carrier for the CHinese navy. Construction will begin in the Summer of 2005 and is expected to take at least three years to finish.

Also due to the current events in Russia, the CHinese millitary has rasied its alert Status.

Economic News:
Recent economic figures conitnue to show that the Chinese economy continues to grow. In fact for the year 2004 it was the worlds fastest growing economy. China's major car manfucator, Cherry, annouced that it plans to start a line of cars that will sold in the United States. The goal is to creat a line of cars that is at least $3,000 dollars cheaper then it competors and come with a 10 year/ 100,000 mile warranty.

The Chinese government has also started to look over plans to sell more government run business, all though at this point it is just talk there seems to be a move with in the Chinese government to expand the Economic freedoms that Chinese now enjoy to ensure continued growth in the Chinese economy.

Technology News:
China has anounced that is is moving up the date for the first maned Chinese mission to the Moon. The new date is set for early 2009. China also plans to lanuch training missions this year and for the next four years to get ready for the first Chinese Moon landing.

Brazil to Saudi Arabia:
Our economic growth is stagnating, possibly due to the fact that we have few domestic fossil fuel sources. We would be interested in importing oil from you for a fair price... perhaps we could let you develop and mine some of the uranium deposits in our country in exchange, since you have expressed interest in acquiring uranium.

Brazil to France:
Your nation's engineers have great expertise in nuclear power generation. Our nation has great uranium deposits, waiting to be used. Would you be willing to help our nation develop a domestic nuclear energy infrastructure so that we can meet the energy demands of a growing population?

Brazil to Australia:
We believe that an economic development pact could be very helpful for both of our nations. We have a great amount of raw resources, waiting to be used, while you have the technology to help develop and explot them. We believe that such a technology-for-resources agreement could be helpful for both of our nations. Would you be interested?

Bundesrepublik Deutschland

Economy:
Germany announced that it will lower the burden on citizen tax to a straight 45% over 3 years to be in line with other European countries.
A marketing campaign is being launched, lasting 2 years that should periodically raise awareness to products manufactured in Germany. A special "Made in Germany" logo is being developed and can be used to mark products of german origin.

Agriculture:
The Made in Germany logo shall also be applied to foods in two slightly modified versions. One deals with high quality biological food and the other with non-biological food of lower quality, both grown on german soil.
Citizens are expected to raise awareness to health issues.

Military:
We are on a path to a full professional army, abolishing the still present conscription system by 2008. The final army will consist of 450.000 highly trained members as well as 200.000 reservists. A new kind of volunteer service will be established giving young people (18-26) the chance to get paid and peek into the army for half a year. Expected number of people participating therein: 20,000 per year.

Education:
Reforms are being made to increase our intellectual capacity. The quality of our schools and universities are currently being evaluated.

I assume that's everything for this turn then

Australia to Brazil:
We accept the alliance and are excited to be recieving your resources in exchange for technology.

Australia to America:
We accept the allaince and seek entry into the Morgan Freeman Alliance. We also would like to become your friendly neighborhood uranium dealer.

Australia to world:
We still enourage your alliances, and will accept them at any time.

Australia to Saudi Arabia:
We must respectfully decline your offer to sell us oil for uranium. We assure you that this is not based on the urges of Israel, we are simply trying to move away from the old polluting energy sources.

Australian Orders:
Institute a slow tax-raising program over the next 10 years that will generate extra revenue to be poured into economical and standard-of-life type programs, especially education. Australia's navy and air force are to be modernized in all respects (which shouldn't be hard, since we don't have much in the first place). Nuclear power is to be used in every possible area, and the depleted uranium is to be sold to the US. Australia is also removing any bans or laws prohibiting genetic research in an attempt to attract scientists, and will use the extra revenue generated in more taxes from the businesses they will work for to check up on these to make sure no unsafe materials or life-forms are generated. I'm also funding my CIA-equivilent in a solely counter-terrorist capacity; with all the terrorist stuff going on around the world, I'm preparing for the worst.

Just a couple of notes. All alliances that exist in the real world exist here, unless of corse you guys decide to dissolve them. Also for the troop numbers Lord Nuclear I figured that most nations would have .0084 time the entire population in the army. You can raise the number of people in your army, but I am keeping things the way they are for now. Isreal will have an easier time doing this since almost everyone in Isreal that can pick up a gun is in the army reserves.

Tax breaks will be offered for home improvment, cars and other large purchases. The 35-hour work week will be repealed. The government will review and cut back its subsidies. Efforts to lower health care and social security contributions will be sustained.

Moreover, the legal framework for foreign investments will be simplified and made easier to understand in order to improve the legal security of investors and to better sustain their projects. The establishment in France of corporate headquarters and decision-making centres is a key goal.

The government will also look into the possibility of granting official “international organization status” to a broad range of international concerns. This status should enable such associations to benefit from “preferential” treatment while on French territory.

The Brazil Daily News

Landmark Deals Conducted with Australia, France, Saudi Arabia
Likely to increase nations economy, infrastructure
Brazilian diplomats have made favorable deals with the nations of Australia, France, and Saudi Arabia which will help the nation's stagnating economy recover and help it become more technologially equal with the world's leading economic powers. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva commented, "These deals will help our economy recover and give the people of Brazil good jobs, while cementing our position as a world economic player."

The deal with Australia involves giving them access to certain raw resource deposits throughout the nation in exchange for their helping to advance the technology of our nation's industrial and infrastructural systems, improving production and efficiency throughout the nation.

A similar deal was agreed to with France, although they will be aiding us in develop a modern nuclear-power generating infrastructure, in order to meet the growing energy needs of a growing population and economy, while lessening our dependence on foreign fossil fuels and enabling us to use local uranium deposits as an energy source.

We also agreed to begin exporting of uranium supples to Saudi Arabia for their power-generation needs, while importing oil from them in exchange to meet domestic needs.

These deals pleased Brazil's Minister of Energy, who commented, "securing good fossil fuel supplies while increasing use of nuclear power generation will allow Brazil to more easily meet future energy demands."

Economists agree that the deals should bring well needed jobs to Brazil, and improve the economy. Some environmentalists are concerned that this rapid development could possibly be damaging to the nation's diverse yet fragile ecosystems, but the government has assured them that the development "will be carried out in a careful, well-planned method."

Highways to the Future
New plan will create jobs, improve infrastructure
The lack of sound infrastructure has been one of the obstacles impeding economic development in Brazil. Now, the President wants to help overcome these obstacles by building a system of superhighways (similar to the Interstate Highways in the US) in order to help foster new development and to improve the ease of transportation between the nations economic, industrial, political, and population centers. The government believes that an improved infrastructure will attract foreign investors. As a bonus, it will also offer more jobs for Brazilians, and the government thus hopes that the project will also help to pull Brazil out of the economic shrinkage that it is currently in, like similar works projects did for other countries during the 1930's. The highways will run along the coast, and through the southern and center interior sections of the nation. It is important to note that the system does not enter the Amazon basin, in an effort to limit development and damage to the environment in that region. (Map below...)

Its definitely a trade agreemnent, but please explain your need for a military alliance. We will support your aplication to NATO if that is what you wish. We certainly have no intention of supporting you in any war of aggression, but if you are threatened, I'm sure we along with most of the world will offer our aid. If you intend to reciprocate then call that an alliance.

Looks like Brazil can provide the Uranium we need for now, but we will keep you in mind.

Orders--
We need to bring more Jews to Israel! This is a must. The conscription service will be extended for one more year for men, two for women, totaling four years for each person. This will improve the skill of the reserves, if we ever need to call them up. Improve infrastructure of the outside areas of large cities, thus making bigger metropolises. The Israeli Air Force will be sent to stop any Uranium from going to Saudi Arabia by any means necessary. Leader of Fatah, Abu Mazan (Mahmoud Abbas) should be imprisoned by the same means as Yasser Arafat.

France condemns Isreal's racist and threatening statements
At the UN France warns Isreal of the danger of renewing hostilities in the region. Isreal's paranoia does not give it the right to impose any sort of unilateral trade blockade on Saudi Arabia. For our part we intend to conform totaly to the rules of the International Atomic Energy Agency in our nuclear trade deals. We fully expect every other nation who value the UN to do the same.

We are also concerned that Isreal's racist statements will harm the civil rights of non-jewish residents. We hope that Isreal will tone down such blatantly inflamatory rhetoric in the future.
