	New Cretaceous diplo style game for USA Fri nights... Suffering from ads?

I've been working on a new map of the Earth in the early Cretaceous timezone. This is a time when the Earth was very warm and arid so there are very few grassland squares. This will limit the big city builders.

I've reduced the relative ocean sizes and reduced the northern landmass to even it out a bit. I'm still working on the forests rivers etc...

Any interest?

USA Thurs, Fri or Sat nights in the next month or so?

Sounds like Africa was in the TWIF games, it had almost no grassland, so I have the experience to do well, however I am unlikely to commit to any more regular games except in the current TWIF time slot, so I would like that game to finish first. But I am certainly interested then

Thanks ozzy for testing the map with me and Trev. Good session... thoughts so far -
* too much landmass to oceans;
* Continents to be a little bit further apart;
* huts seemed to make it fun and will be better when we have dinosaur barbs

* the only change in the enlosed modpak's rules.txt is the tech paradigm at 20 (twice as slow)

* different unit icons - more work needed here

* new terrain

unzip it, put the cretaceous folder in your scenario folder... needs testing.

OK, we got a USA Fri nighter starting next week.

Trev, Makeo, deity and LC tested it today after the last game finished.

Start proper next week...

And for the b game we have DD, Trev, deity and Berzerker I hope plus possibly Dylan for USA Thurs night...

NOTE: The latest modpak is regularly updated in the first post of the thread.

If you don't like the terrain or units in the pak you can simply take them out and civ2 defaults to the standard graphics. But it's nice to use the new graphics!

This is the same scn but with Villages only in case we go that way...
Makeo needs this as host.

I had to go right back to the map to do this! And then reset all the civs - that's why the colours are different.

I have checked my schedule and discovered that I am unavailable to play this coming week. Is there a volunteer to take the civ with the largest number of cities, top population and production and consolidate it to be undisputed no 1 at the end of the next session?
