Well, as the numbers in the game drop down, the game goes faster and faster, not just in terms of speed of posting the turns, but also less diplomacy, less calculations for the GM, and less idle speculation in the thread. You'll see. When 1/3 of the players are gone, the game is 1/2 way through.

Players have been more aggressive this game than before- nobody has built and held a 5th base yet. So, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended around turn #10-15.

In any case we're at 5/10 with just over 30 hours to go.

btw, I think your estimate of an early ending is optomistic, I think it will still go on for quite a while yet, similar to previous games, it is harder to eliminate opponents as the players are eliminated.

Joncha's grand strategy slips up only once, but even so, his spread out fleet minimizes the damage from Ljube's torpedoes.

Ljube beams up to the S.S.S. Enterprise as his last ship is vaporized and his bases, including the one he'd just built, are overrun.

Not long afterwards, Spaced Cowboy arrived in the area with a small fleet, but seing Joncha already there, turned back home.

A minor clarification: If your offensive fleet gets attacked by another person, it will fight with your attack OoB unless otherwise specified.

Makes almost no difference in this battle, just for future reference.

And now, the final battle of this round: Sandman takes on Joncha's fleet, and almost immediately gets pasted as well.

And with that, Sandman was left where he was a few rounds back- crushed by an attack on a more powerful attacker, and left with three bases and no ships.

Joncha, by the way, you're very lucky that Spaced didn't decide to attack whoever was around- the two of you would have mutually destroyed each other in the first two rounds.
