Now, a serious bit of thought.

Do we want to attack them with an archer rush?

If so we will want to push hard on the granary in our home city, build barracks immediately after that and then archer-archer-settler(chopped)-archer-archer-archer-settler(chopped) etc.

Also might be worth discussing with BOH the military possibilities of our friendship ... Ljube and Paddy seem very keen on a close friendship with us ...

I have been able to confirm that DR is researching pottery (and will finish it this turn, likely). That, or they have traded with someone for it, but that is unlikely as BOH hasn't traded pottery with anyone but us yet. (Although DR could theoretically have an outstanding trade offer with someone else who hadn't finished it yet, I suppose.)

Ummm ... I don't like the idea, at all, of discussing things like this with DR (tech advances). I think they are interested in attacking us, or at minimum will be aggressive in relation to us, and the fact that we have a tech deal with BOH means we shouldn't act as if we were going to trade with DR, even if we're not going to ... I don't like implying things that aren't true, even if it is Aqualung we're talking about ...

Don't worry too much Snoop. I was looking for the affirmation that DR is researching IW. Furthermore Aqua thinks he's smart and tricked me in giving away that we have contact with Babylon.

Furthermore DR assumes we have been researching pottery all by ourselves. Therefore they are not aware we have contact with the BOH. They're probably puzzled how we acquired "the wheel", which we off course don't have. Let them wonder and think we're advancing well, and not making any efforts towards IW. Meanwhile we put BOH to work on IW. DR will be in for a suprise. They are happy to have a non committing tech deal, so are we.

Keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.

First of all, the issue did annoy me enourmously and I would exterminate them, if playing alone. I'm cool by the way, it's just a game in the end. However, my intention also was to let DR know part of Euphorica is fed up with them, and willing to go to war. This way they will have to be more carefull acting upon us. They also might have to worry a little over our archer, and over the others that have been trained recently. Paddy mentioned he would want to try to get LB into an alliance against DR. We could draw a lot of attention, while, LB (south of DR) can drop in at the back door.

Anyway, as promised, tell me fellow Euphoriscians, what shall we doe with our archer?

Move him for now. I do agree with Aqua that if they do not have a unit in our territory then we shouldn't be camping in theirs. However, we can wander around the outside of their territory since it's "the way to get home"

However, we really might want to think about that rush against DR soon to pare them down a bit before they get too many immortals. An immortal stack can be beaten, but the best way to do so is with quick units and we don't have those yet.

My suggestion would be to continue building archers, interspersed with some spearmen for stack protection and horsemen for quick attacks.

Forgot to mention that staying a little longer on the DR iron also felt like delaying DR getting immortals. That was also a reason to act upon my own. Now Euphorica can't be blamed for having that archer on the iron hill, because tha madman is playing the turns and doesn't get to talk to his team mates...

Team Euphorica

The sudden appearance of 3 Archers and a Spearman next to our territory is tantamount to a declaration of war, since there can be no other purpose for such a concentrated military presence.

Frankly, this disturbs and disappoints us greatly given our leniency towards your undefended town some years ago.

Please explain yourselves!

I'd like to point out to them we're in free territory. Like both Moon and Aqua have pointed out to me:

Off course I can see the difference. It seems to be 1 of his pleasures to have an anooying reasoning, so I'd like to annoy him back. Off course we'll have the **** hitting the fan next turn.

We have to think over what to do with our stack anyway. The iron is still not connected. Pillging some infrastructure and moving towards their south western town would interesting to me. Especially with having a next wave being build.
