	Mod/Admin Access to Our Forum Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Don't know if you folks have been following the debate in the public forum - but there is considerable discussion as to whether or not the mods/administrators (Dominae, OPD, UnOrthOdOx) should have access to the private forums. I am OK with it as this has been standard practice in other in-house (ie Apolyton) demo games.

The Blood Oath Horde (Paddy's Team) , and in particular, Chrisius Maximus, have been resisting such access. If you have any thoughts on this matter, please post here. You will see the position I have taken, but if the team feels different than that, I will express that view as well.

I do believe that Dominae as a technical fix-it-when-it-breaks-or-we-have-problems guy would be good. I trust him completely.

Is cheating a problem in demogames?

Personally, I don't know why anyone would cheat in a MP, PBEM, or demogame....how unrewarding. Is that CM's contention, that the mods would cheat? Doesn't seem likely.

I agree with the consensus...mods are desired.

This powers are coming in handy while I've locked myself out of the forum.

The only instance of suspicions of cheating that I know of came up in the PTWISDG. (And I'm not talking about the numerous arguments over what was and wasn't an exploit. I'm talking suspicion of cheating.) The results that were questioned did seem to be legit, however.

Otherwise, I've never seen cheating come up. The occasional argument over what is an exploit, yes, but not cheating.

I don't think the mods need to be in forums to oversee cheating. Mainly it's for easier private contact between a mod and a team, and to let the mods see what's being discussed if they're interested.

I don't think CM is contending the mods would help favored teams cheat by using privileged information. I don't know what he's contending, honestly. I had a negative reaction to his posts too.
