	Where should I get my Shuffle? Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

I'm looking to buy an Ipod Shuffle. They're for sale all over the place, I'm just wondering if one shop or site will toss in a trinket or sommat. I'll probably end up going to Amazon (via poly, of course).

Wait for him. Unless you've already got a Mac and iTunes he'll give you a better alternative.

I would at least get a 1 gig model. With 512 Mb you can store what, about 4 cd's? Maybe a little more.

Naturally I'd get the 1GB.

I've already used a flash based player- it was slow, the battery was used fast, there was only 256MB of memory. And I don't want some POC, poorly built RIO.

Order it online from Apple or Amazon. And be prepared to wait, there is a massive order backlog. At least that's what the paper said yesterday.

And Asher is generally FOS about Apple stuff, whatever the merits of his other opinions, so don't bother listening to him.

Not when it comes to Apple. He's inclined to take rumours and present them as facts. There's no objectivity as he's recently admitted himself (since he doesn't believe in it).

With any other stuff he can be reasonable. But even if Apple produced a 250GB player for ten dollars, he'd complain.

Ass for Apple, they are making good buisness right now. Asher may think that you can make money by peddling crap, but I don't think Apple is crap, it just has compatability issues. If things keep going the way they are Steve Jobs will be president of the US soon.

At newegg.com, a 256-512MB MP3 player of any quality runs around $150. The 1GB Shuffle is $150 and is the product of Apple's awesome engineering department. There's no contest.

uhhhh the point of the ipod shuffle is for the songs to come up at random. you cant pick which song you want to listen to,

And that's your use- I wanted a Shuffle because it's small, cheap and Apple. And I've ordered one from the Apple Store, so this is a case closed sort of situation.

That's really the only negitive I can think of with the shuffle. I'm sure that's one of the reasons Apple can offer twice the capacity for the same price compared to its competitors.

I very much want a flash based player instead of a hard drive based one but I also want more then 1 or 2 gigs of storage so I'll just have to wait another year or so. The next generation will be the one for me.
