Instead of building warrior, build scout in Karakorum and start exploring asap, then settler. Same in Ta-Tu. Next city spot is the red hill.

Our workers should make sure Ta-Tu and Kazan have two tiles which produce two food and get on to connecting and improving the future settler factory on the red hill.

Ok the discussion then led to our futue:

Movement Orders
- Horde Long Eyes (scout) in the light green circle, to move 2,3
- George and Mildred (workers), in the blue circle, to move 1 and road then irrigate, then possibly follow the blue dots to road then irrigate
- Harry (worker) will be still irrigating the cow field 7 of Karakorum
- The Wanderers (warrior) in the bark blue circle, to move 9 to mountain top, then to possibly follow the dotted line
- The Heavy Axes (warrior) in the yellow circle, to move 4

build orders
Karakorum - Scout
TaTu - Scout
Kazan - ???

longer term plans
- next settler for the red circle

Put an end to popups!

Kazan also scout. Bear in mind irrigation takes 4 and road 3 turns so I suggest irrigate first, then road with only one settler and move the other one to irrigate Ta-Tu then road following the blue dots.
The third worker should mine a grass near Karakorum (south of it) and then head for the red circle hill.

Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

By looking at the small map, it appears unlikely that there are any Civs to the north or west of us. If we are going to build two scouts, then I would recommend Kazan and Ta-Tu with the barracks being constructed in Karakorum. This would indicate that the green scout should continue with his planned easterly turn. WRT Blue warrior, his nne route along the mountain should not proceed IMHO more than 1 or 2 turns. His direction should be mostly eastward after taking advantage of a couple of mountain top views.
With the expansionist trait, we have the advantage. I believe that we should probe along 4 axis right now. South with a new scout from Ta-tu...Southeast with a new scout from Kazan(with an eventual turn eastward)...due east with the existing scout..and easterly with the blue warrior.

I am concerned a little about the yellow warrior. He appears out of position for a defensive role. We do, however, need a slow mover to cover this quadrant. Perhaps a turn to the north? This would allow him to further explore the water body and area surrounding the grain. I am further concerned that we have no protection in the south. Perhaps a warrior at the expense of the Kazan scout?

Question: What is the tile at 3 from Kazan?

All that being said...I must add that this is Newby advice! Take it with a grain of salt.

IMHO, Ta-Tu should not build a settler so soon, since the same food is required to go from 1 to 2 and 5 to 6, we should build other things and preserve our population until we can 'afford' to lose some of it.

I think Kazan should continue with warrior (since it looks like there is a lot of jungle to explore sw of there) and Ta-Tu should build a scout. It is very unlikely that anybody is to our nw, so we could bring the yellow warrior back for defense and wait for the scout to search that area.

So we need to get sorted on these matters soon

Also regarding names for our units and settlements, please drop by the Sacred Names of the Horde thread and leave your ideas and suggestions

I am looking for names for our Capital, when we have 4 - 5 names we will run a poll on the matter and have the appropriate celebrations, so get your thinking caps on and lets here some grandious suggestions for I am sure you lot have heaps

PLATO is probably right. Karakorum has the biggest shield potential so we should build barracks there and scouts in Ta-Tu and Kazan. Warriors next, settlers next.

Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

The save has halted with Team Desolation, under the maniac Aqua, so we have a few hours more

Ok the discussion of our future continues:
I have included the various options presented for each unit..

Movement Orders
Horde Long Eyes (scout) in the light green circle:
- to move 2,3

George and Mildred (workers), in the blue circle:
- to move 1 and road then irrigate, then possibly follow the blue dots to road then irrigate
- to move 1 then irrigate, then later George stays to road while Mildred moves 4 to irrigate then road later
to be resolved

Harry (worker):
- will be still irrigating the cow field 7 of Karakorum this turn

The Wanderers (warrior) in the bark blue circle:
- to move 9 to mountain top for scouting
- to return to Karakorum now
to be resolved

The Heavy Axes (warrior) in the yellow circle:
- to move 4 for for scouting 1 more turn at least
- to move 2 to protect Ta-Tu, let the new scout out there
to be resolved

build orders
Karakorum:
- Barracks, then warriors, then settlers
- Warrior, unless Wanderer returns here immediatly
to be resolved

Ta-Tu:
- Scout, then possibly warriors, then settlers
- warrior
to be resolved

Kazan:
- Scout, then possibly warriors, then settlers
- warrior
to be resolved

longer term plans
- next settler for the red circle

Please note that while construction orders can be held over for a few turns, the movement orders must be sorted before the save arrives, or while playing it So we need some concenus lads...

I am not comfortable with 2 of 3 cities being undefended...

Both Karakorum and Kazan should build warriors first(Karakorum can build scout if the wanderer returns home)

First of all Paddy set science to 100%.

Second, our scout should move 2, but after that either 4 or 6 because the first is a mountain while the second is a hill.

Third, our warrior should explore a bit more the mountain range near our future settler factory, and stay there to protect the future city. The other warrior should explore a bit around Ta-Tu, but stay close.

People I don't understand you. Enemy warriors can't simply materialise, they come from somewhere. If we send our scouts or warriors if you prefer to the mountains near our cities we will be able to spot the enemy coming in time to react.

For this turn i agree with the moves as shown on the second pic the one with all the coloured circles on it.

I am happy with any build list that includes at least 1 barracks but im not sure which cities should do which so that I will leave to others to decide Thank you.

I agree with ljube...Warriors don't simply materialize. However, all three of our cities are two moves away from capture once a warrior becomes visable to us. This is a necessary evil at this point. The solution, as I see it, is to move our forces into position along possible axis of threat...not to return them to the cities.

There are, IMHO, three significant threat axis. From the due east of Karakorum. From the south east of Kazan. From due south of Ta-tu. To Deploy them most effectively along these axis I recommend the following:

Horde Long Eyes deployed 2,3 this turn and then (depending of course what our faithful vassal finds) to move in a 2,3 or 2,2,3 pattern.

The Wanderers should go 9 and then eithier 6 or 9 again depending on view.

The Heavy Axes should go 4 and then 2,2,2

This will bring The Wanderers 3 turns away from karakorum . Acceptable only because we can switch build back to warrior should an emergency arise.
