actually christianity was discouraged during the communist time (atheism was the only thing encouraged)
so while orthodox was allowed to continue, it was discouraged
after communisms collapse, russia has returned to christianity of all types (which has the orthodox a little upset because they woudl rather russia was all for them)

(of course, adventists in general are fairly conservative, so I would not recommend you (as a homosexual) look to them if you were to become interested in christianity, there are, however, many good denominations which are much more liberal in the area of homosexuality which I would recommend)

2. The Metric System - No one in this country voted that we go metric. We are told it is necessary for international trade. Then how did we become the most powerful nation on earth without the metric system. The goal behind going metric is simple. “Make Americans quit thinking like Americans.” Meters & kilometers are not “American.” If they can make us think in that way, we will lose our American identity. Recently you may have noticed some magazines going to a larger size. This is a metric format. Book publishers have instructed authors to use “meters” instead of “yards”and “kilometers” instead of “miles.” This will force Americans to think internationally instead of “American.” (Have you ever wondered what kind of hatred would motivate this attempt at genocide?)
3. The “Energy Crisis” - There is no energy crisis. America has more oil beneath Alaska than Saudi Arabia. The reason liberals in Congress don’t want it drilled is two-fold.
1. Create a phony “Oil Crisis” to artificially raise gas prices and drive Americans into small (world) cars, rather than those big sedans we like.
2. By making us artificially dependent on Arab oil we will be forced as a nation to bow down to Muslims and go soft on our support for Israel. You’re seeing that everyday and the News Industry is leading the charge.
I can safely predict that there will never be an answer to our “energy crisis” because it doesn’t exist in the first place. It will always be simply a tool used to disassemble the country you love.
4. Racism - “Racism” will never be eliminated. Why? Because it is the greatest single tool the News Industry has to forever drive a wedge into American society and sow hatred. If racism ever ceased to exist, then the News Industry would lose its chief weapon against its sworn enemy, America.
Some years ago during a “Black Pride” parade, a man in the parade was shot by a bystander. The News Industry “flashed” this “breaking story”, obviously the work of some demented White-supremist. Then they found out it was one Black man shooting another Black man over a woman. The story DIED instantly.
Now, through the “magic” of News Industry promoted racism, I, whose family only came here in 1901 and never owned a slave, owe some Black guy from Jamaica, who came here last week and never was a slave, “reparations.” If that makes sense to you it’s because you’ve over-dosed on CNN!
5. Artificially changed demographics - Ever see a Muslim or Hindu temple in America? How did it happen? Did a handful of Muslims come here and win that many converts? No, they were imported wholesale! Look! It is not racist or bigoted to report historical facts. The facts about our nation is that it was founded by white Europeans. It was not founded to be a “multi-cultural” society. In 1854 The House Judiciary Committee of the United States declared “Had the people during the revolution had any suspicion of an attempt to war against Christianity, that revolution would have been strangled in its cradle...At the time of the adoption of the constitution and its amendments the universal sentiment was that Christianity should be encouraged...That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their decedents.”
The greatest statement Patrick Henry ever said was, “it cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Now these statements record historical facts, not racial bigotry! Anyone who is against these sentiments is against the nation our Founding Fathers birthed.
Some 25 years ago, liberals, in charge of immigration, realized that by throttling back White European immigration and opening wide the doors to Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus, they could artificially change the demographics of America. Then the News Industry would help by repeating over and over to its brainless listeners, “America was founded to be multi-cultural.”, “Soon Spanish will be the main language of the United States.”,
“To resist is to be an evil racist.”
What I’ve told you is true. It is actually happening as you read this. Liberals hate the country that was founded here in 1787 with a deep rooted hatred that is difficult to comprehend. They can see no good in America other than to finance the United Nations’ goal of world domination.
What can we do about it? I don’t even know. It is definitely bigger than us. Do we kill people and blow up buildings? No. Muslims do that, not Christians. Do we plan to “overthrow” our government? No. That is wrong. And if it were successful, a worse government would replace this one. You could resist. You could refuse to allow your thinking to be guided by your TV set. When you watch some tv special and feel guilt-tripped or fearful you could actually stop and think and say, “They just put this thought in my head. I refuse to entertain this thought any longer.”
Other than that we can pray daily for God’s mercy (I didn’t say “blessing”) on America. It is still the greatest nation on earth and, even with a bunch of God-hating liberals in Congress and the courts, it is doing more for the Lord’s work than any other. That’s got to count for something!

By the way, the answer to this is because this news has much to do with Bible prophecy.
You see, Satan in actuality doesn't want godlessness to be popular in these last days; actually, quite the contrary. Worldwide Secular Humanism is NOT Satan's goal. He wants spirituality to be popular in these last days as long as it has nothing to do with Jesus. The reason for this is because when the Antichrist is revealed he wants the whole world to think that he is God and he will also try to create worldwide spiritual unity, which is one thing paganism is about. Satan will get his way at least partially; he will try to, but will not be successful in wiping out both the entire Jewish and Tribulation Saint (Christian) populations before his own end comes. No matter what happens, Satan and his puppets, the Antichrist and the False Prophet will lose in the end. W00t!!!

Like a bunch of old hens they gather together and moan, “Did you hear what they’ve done now?...”
I am not a Post-millenialist nor a Reconstructionist. I do not believe in “bringing in the Kingdom” nor “Restoring the Constitution.” I believe today what I believed 35 years ago when I got saved. One of these days Jesus Christ is going to return and “catch us away” in what we call “The Rapture.” Then there is going to be a 7 year period called in the Bible “The Tribulation.” I am not going through even ten minutes of the Tribulation. You can stay around for as much as you wish. After that Tribulation the Lord is going to militantly return as recorded in Revelation 19 ans setup what we call His “Millennial Kingdom.”
I was taught that 35 years ago when I got saved. I checked it against the Bible and believe it is “dead on” accurate for the future. Some have chosen to wander from this truth. I have not.
So why then should we fight the forces of evil and try to stop their progress when the Bible speaks of a great apostasy before Christ’s return? Because the one question mark in what we believe is when will the Rapture happen? You have heard me decry it enough that, although it would seem Christ’s return is right around the corner, we have been wrong time-after-time in dating his return. I know! I know! You say, “But the degeneration of the world has to take place before Christ returns.” Right. But if we have a few years before He returns (I know! You know it’s this year...and you’ve “known” that incorrectly for thirty years!) then our inaction will bring on a degeneration that is not the one spoken of for the last days.
Here are some reasons we should fight the World instead of each other until the Lord’s return:
1. Silence is not innocence - We have all heard the illustration of a man driving on through the night headed for a bridge that is out and passes a man who knows the bridge is out but does not warn him. He is guilty of his blood. He doesn’t have to actively say, “It’s OK. Keep going.” and send the man to his death. He only has to inactively say nothing to achieve the same result...with the same guilt.
If we do nothing to stop evil in our country, we are as guilty as the dopers and rock stars for its destruction.
2. Be a “Spoiler” - In the military there is what is called a “Spoiling” attack. Your enemy is poised to attack your weakest spot so you attack him first in another area. He has to bleed off his troops to fight your attack and thus is unable to mount the attack he planned.
If we would attack the World about abortion, School curriculum, gun control or anyplace at all, they would have to divert forces to fight our attack and be powerless to mount their own. Everybody knows they have a very limited pool of manpower. The nuts picketing the Republican Convention are the same nuts who picket for “abortion Rights”, “Homosexual Rights”, the Environment, gun control and every other liberal cause. They just simply change signs to fit the occasion. If we attacked them we would deplete their manpower and reduce their effectiveness.
3. We are God’s Army - The job of an army is not defensive. It is to offensively take territory away from its enemies. God did not intend for us huddle timidly in our “bunker” and wait trembling for “The End.” (You know, those “Concentration Camps” they’re going to take us to in those “Black helicopters.” Eek! I scared myself!) God told Paul to get out of Asia and take the Gospel into Europe. He sent His servants out of Europe to establish the United States. For centuries He has been telling missionaries to “go” not “hide.”
By doing nothing to upset the World’s plans we are actively working to bring about the devil’s goals. Is that what you want your life to be known for in eternity? I’d rather lose trying to do something than succeed at doing nothing. Don’t hide your cowardice behind pseudo-spirituality.
4. We are supposed to be “salt” - Salt does not stop rot by hiding in its “bunker’, the salt shaker. If it doesn’t not “get out there” it is ineffective and worthy to be trampled underfoot. We have a Divine mandate to resist and actively fight evil. Anything less is dereliction of duty.
5. They are Christ’s enemies - We have a moral obligation to face down Christ’s enemies. You can count yourself “holy” because you “pray for those who despitefully use you.” Good. You should. But those are your personal enemies. The World hates Jesus Christ and we have a moral and scriptural obligation to engage and defeat His enemies.
6. Redirect your courage - I am amazed that some of you are not at all afraid to confront a preacher but shrink from confronting an environmentalist, teacher or any other of the devil’s soldiers. You will actively try to damage a church but expend no effort to damage the devil’s organizations. Why are you bold against your own? Why are you so willing to do something the devil would cheer you on to do?
If you are dedicated to doing nothing, if your “strength is to sit still”, if you are afraid to do anything that would make God’s enemies hate you, then when you see the homosexuals boldly, bravely, PUBLICLY taking their stand for evil, then call some other lifeless, gutless Christian you know and whine about it. But remember that that pervert is braver than you are. And when they have the legal right to proposition your children on the street don’t decide then to act, because it will be too late. And besides, you’ll only be reaping the “fruits” you have encouraged to grow.
