Its not the specific policy proposal that has made me so angry. Its the idea of morality politics - a public discourse where individuals attempt to impose their morality on the majority through the ballot box.
Elections should be about real issues. I dont care whether you cast your vote for the party that you feel would be best for everyone in the country or vote for who you think would be best for you personally as long as you are voting on proper policy. Its a slippery slope once parties attempt to harness morality for short term electoral gain, warping the real point of elections in the process. People fought and died to allow people to vote to improve the country and safeguard their freedoms - NOT to allow a parties to flirt with moral fascism.

Live by the sword, die by the sword, buddy. It's not like you didn't start this off with a BAM and strawman.
Anyway, when the representitives of your favorite field stop writing books like The Bell Curve, and making statements that women are inherently bad at science, I'll stop attacking it for being racist and sexist.
