Beta, I see you're busy at work. Do you want the rest of us to step in and handle saves for a little while? I can't speak for other Babylonians, but I have plenty of free time (and time at home with the comp) this week and could take over till at least the 20th.

That would be great. I do not mind handling some of the FA duties if need be.

This game is moving at a quick pace, which is great, but it also puts demands on the ambassadors to be around to do the contacts and correspondence.

I can take saves now (about to clear out my PBEM box). Good thing, since Beta says he's going out of town Wednesday-Friday.

I am still up for it, when I can of course, bu does anyone else want to play turns? I'm sure at least a few of you read the reports/check out the maps and are up to date on things which is really all it takes. With the 12 hour rule still in effect, I personally think it would be great to have everyone who's active on the team also on the turnplayer list.

I'm thinking of dragging my heels and not playing till nearer to the 24 hour limit until we hear back about the border. Today it just happened by accident - although I could have played earlier, I forgot about the save - but I'm thinking of doing it deliberately for now.

What do you guys think?

Also, I'm going to be busy graduating on Friday, then gone for team tennis on saturday and sunday. So please cover for me those days whatever we decide on turnplaying policy.

I will be here Friday but I am helping my folks open the cottage on the weekend.

jon - can you play the turns this weekend.

As to the 24 hour thing, I am Ok with just playing as we get it. Personally, I would rather have the game moving quickly, and we adapt as need be. I think part of that adapting will be to allow the turn player to make decisions on trades - as I raised earlier in the Lost Boys thread.

If each team takes 24 hours - we will be back to a turn a week - and the game will die quickly thereafter.

jon - that should work OK. I will be here Friday and if needed, can play very early on Saturday morning. If anything comes in after that - you can pick it up on Sunday close enough to the 24 hour rule. And I will be back in town on Monday around noon. (It is a long weekend up here in Canada).

The other option is BFM - if ehe is around - or someone else who would like to step up. Any takers?

Seriously, I'm not able to actually play the turns. I have a far too busy and irregular schedule for that. Most of the time I'm at work when I'm checking out the Apolyton boards...

A long-term notice: In August I'll be leaving for Massachusetts and Clark University. While I travel there and settle in my on-line access and time will be spotty, but more importantly, I don't imagine I'll have time to keep up my current level of DG activity. So, I'll be stepping down from regular turnplaying and planning come about mid-August.
