If it's due to I keep coming back to the one question no pro-feeding tube advocate has answered -

If it's due to the fact I'm citing an Intro course - it's to make the point of how accepted that technique - the compressed axis or whatever the technical term is - as an attempt to mislead is. If it was in the Intro course almost thirty years ago at least I was a HS student taking honors coop at the local college.

Again, the degree of brain damage is in dispute. The 2nd GAL said that only a conscious person can swallow. A nurse, this morning on FOXNews, said that in 1997 that she could swallow. She said that she discovered this by surprise one day cleaning her mouth. There after she began to feed her water and jello. The nurse's name is Heidi Law. Conduct a search to verify what she has to say if you doubt this.

[Heidi also agrees that Michael tried to kill Terri by injecting her with insulin.]

Also the 2nd GAL said that when she was on the West Coast for therapy that she would use the word "no."

Finally, there was no decision by the courts on how much of her brain remained. There appears to be some of her cerebral cortex left.

There is no disagreement that much of brian is missing and absent new scientific discoveries, will never be restored.

Why would they wait ten years and not report this to the police when it happened? Why are they lying? Because that's what right-wing Christians do in order to confuse people. Lying for a higher purpose isn't a sin.

Thing about this is nurses have to chart every thing to cover their asses. If what these nurses are claiming then the paper trail needs to be dug up. We re told if you dont chart it, it didnt happen.

most are yes, they do have nurse aids but those have to report to the rn in charge of the patient
Anything to do with patient care needs to be documented. As i said before, if its not documented it didnt happen. She is in a medical facility there is a paper trail. To answer the question most people that have taken care of terri might not be RNs but there is one in charge of her care for 3 different shifts

Plenty. Much more then you in your fantasy land. She made the statement in front of four people all adults of legal standing. In a court of law here husband's word would have been enough but with her sister in law and two other long time friends all bearing witness to the exact same statements made by her the case is closed. Ill use this incident has an example. Some one dont know if she is a nurse or not. Claims she witnessed the guy trying to inject insulin. if she saw this her duty was to report to the rn and have the rn chart it so as she didnt get her ass in trouble if the woman died with no clear reason. If you as a medical worker see or do something and you are not the rn you must report it and have it charted. If there is no written record in medicene then the act never happened thats how the laws are viewed. Even if the incident occured if it wasnt charted it never happened

He was just on CNN (via telephone) right now doing this very same comparison.

to be fair, he didn't say they were the same situation, but to even bring the idea up is preposterous.

Dissedent - thank you. Seriously. I'm just very tired, and to see the hair-splitting on her cognitive state is just so, well, frustrating and sad at the same time. As I've said, I watched friends in the same denial about their six year old daughter. It was tragic, and she died in part because of that denial. What absolutely frightens is that these people, in their denial, are the same people who would pass laws affecting me and my family.

OK - fine, she's not brain dead, she's cerebral cortex dead. Now, can can anybody bring up any cites, that are at a minimum at the same level as the American Academy of Neurosciences, that indicate that she has AS MUCH CEREBRAL FUNCTION AS A DUMB HAMSTER. Thank you all, and good night.

Every doctor who matters and who wasn't brought in specifically by the opposition agrees she's in a PVS. The court apointed doctors, the independent doctors, and the husbands doctors all agree and it was only a few nut jobs from the right to life people who said other wise and no one found them to be at all creditable. Not that facts will stop the Neds of the world though.
