I love reality TV, because I like observing the people. There is usually a pretty girl to admire also.

What I loath is the endless stream of US crime drama shows and US sitcoms. I would rather chew my arm off than sit through an episode of CSI or Friends. BLEH!

Survivor and The Amazing Race are my favourites. I couldn't take The Apprentice seriously, for every time I saw Donald Trump's hairdo, I couldn't stop laughing. The romantic style reality shows are pure dross though, but I suppose they are catering to female tastes. Big Brother is fairly worthless also. If they chose truly interesting people, instead of human animals, it might be okay.

I also think shows like Airport and Family Plots are interesting. Same with Cops and various medical reality shows. It is just interesting to see how the other half live and work.

And Gretchen's constant old lady whining is starting to wear thin. Lynn & Alex - They're ok, but the flamboyant drama queen stuff is taxing. Thankfully they either don't seem to do it all that much, or the editors aren't showing it much. Still, they seem to be a strong team and will almost certainly be in the top three if they can stop wrecking cars.

I still want Rob and Amber to lose. Well, moreso just Rob. He's a grade-A ******* and deserves to go down.

I agree about Ron & Kelly. They treat each other like ****, and I don't think there's an ounce of class between them. Ron is particularly petulant and vindictive. Wtf was up with him refusing to let her help milk the goat? Just out of a petty grudge that she physically couldn't carry a water bucket on her head? Dick.

I like Gretchen and Meredith, so if they won, I'd be okay with it. But they won't--I predict they will be the next team eliminated. They're way too far behind right now.

So it comes down to Uchenna & Joyce or Lynn & Alex for me. I like both couples, although Lynn gets a little too *****y for my tastes. Alex seems like a sweetheart, though. U&J are just all-round nice and are a good couple. I'd be happy if either of these teams won.

Generally, the teams that win are those that combine good teamwork with a degree of physical prowess and the ability to avoid big race mistakes (Flo notwithstanding).

That means it'll come down to Rob & Ambuh (very strong in all three), Uchenna & Joyce (extremely strong in teamwork, physically capable, inconsistent racers), and Lynn & Alex (ditto, but better racers than U&J). Ron & Kelly are at each others' throats too much, and Meredith & Gretchen simply lack the athleticism and race smarts.

It looks like Rob & Ambuh's race to lose. I hope U&J pull through.

I wonder why american reality shows are better than swedish? We had a swedish "The Apprentice" and it was horrible!! I flipped past another swedish show tonight named "Casino Las Vegas", and itīs also appalingly bad. Picture a bunch of self-obsessed trailer trash airheads let loose in the city of sin, back stabbing each other Big Brother style. No class or glamour at all... But I refuse to belive that americans are more interesting than swedes, so whatīs the deal? Casting? Editing?

I don';t think that it's that AMerican REality shows are worse it's just that they are more popular, and thus more hated.

Strange how the something becomes more hated as more ppl like it...

I'm not that type of person. I just go on quality. For instance. I like Microsoft operating systems even though they are popular. And I liked popular tv shows such as Seinfeld despite it being so popular.

reality tv is just crap. As I mentioned in my last post. If I want reality, I'll watch shows like Maximum Exposure where I can watch drunk people do stupid things. Reality shows just seem so phony. And the people don't interest me at all. I think it's their personalities. As a certain type of person will sell themselves just to appear on TV. And I don't like that type of person.
