	Reality Shows Support Apolyton

I have to admit Iīm addicted to some reality shows. I loved The Apprentice and Mark Burnetts other shows "The Casino" and "The Restaurant", sadly these two seem to be scrapped due to poor performance in the sweeps. A pity really since I enjoyed both these shows. At least The Apprentice is in its third season (which means two seasons unaired in Sweden ) Something to look forward to I suppose...

I watched the whole second season of the swedish Survivor, but this kind of reality show where itīs mainly about showing stupid people acting stupid sickens me. Big Brother is like a socioanthropological study of stupid people. A case study of narcissistic personality disorder. Theyīre not doing anything besides bicker, getting drunk, having sex and stab each other in the back. Monkeys at the zoo behave better than these people. It really brings out the worst behaviour in every competitor, and it makes me sick to my stomach that we watch these people degrade themselves on prime time TV. Itīs the modern equivalent of freak shows, really.

And the PC police says that the porn industry ****s up people, yet they donīt lift a finger against this crap. Yeah right... Ever hear of double standards?

For us with less than glamoruos jobs (or no jobs at all) itīs interesting to watch the fast paced action of The Restaurant for example. But if I worked in a restaurant myself I wouldnīt be as interested I suppose...

I like The Amazing Race and I watch The Apprentice. I also like Big Brother, and if I got MTV I would watch the Real World, since I watched the first 6 seasons. After that, I am sure the others are just as bad/good but I get all "realitied" out and need to dip back into my fantasy of a life

I stopped watch The Bacheolor, for lack of care for shows in which they vie for love. As if! I like the competition ones, but Survivor seems to "Disneylandish".

Anyway, that's my 2-cents.

I am now thinking about a Big Brother Apolyton, that would be great. 10 Polytubbies locked in a house for 80 days! And no bannings!

I don't see what makes it so retarded... Especially when two of the biggest recluses (Diss and Sava) are the first one's to bash it, I'd assume the contrary is true.

it's not entertaining whatsoever... these producers just find the most obnoxious and manipulative attention wh0res and put them in a situation so there will be conflict...

it's not that much different in principle as say, dog fighting... they get aggressive animals riled up and let them loose on each other...

it's barbaric... it's just a more "civilized" version of gladitorial games, but without the bravery or courage.

I like drama... not crap.

nah, I don't watch much TV... most of it is crap...

but among my favorite shows are 24, Stargate, Battlestar: Galatica, Scrubs, Sopranos...

Scrubs - too funny! I love that show.

Sopranos - too violent

Seems liked you would like reality if you complain they are too aggressive.

If the show's were real, maybe I'd watch it.

It's common knowledge all of them are scripted. Why would I waste time watching bad actors spit out scripted scenarios when I could watch good actors do the same thing?

I watch The Amazing Race & Survivor regularly

I also picked up the first season of The Mole on DVD last week since it was only 15 bucks (that's less than the soundtrack for crying out loud!). The Mole is one of the best reality shows there was, and the hotel puzzle at the end of the first season is just amazing to watch.

Any aspect of society is best critqued from the outside. For commentary on some part of the cultural crap heap that is the mainstream media, I'd value Sava and Dissident's opinions pretty highly. Maybe because I agree with them.

It's the only reality show I watch regularly. The Apprentice I watch sometimes. The rest of reality TV is indeed crap, especially if it's a reality show on FOX.

The Mole was one of the best reality shows, unfortunately it didn't survive.
