We're gonna get new rulers on May 5.

Well, we're not as Labour will most likely win again and we'll have another term of Tony. The Conservatives will whine, the Lib Dems beam happily over their two new seats, and somewhere in Wales, something might happen. Not that I care.

I find it immensely amusing because I used to live in that constituency and a victory for the Labour candidate would be about as likely as Nader winning the US Presidency. The Tory majority is unassailable (over 10,000), so the Lib Dems just accepted a defector who had no chance whatsoever.

I'm sure there's a good pun in there somewhere

Still, makes one wonder if Labour will contest the seat now. If not, the Libs just might stand a chance.

with the campaign about to get underway, it's nice to see the press are taking the lib dems seriously. so far only one paper, the guardian, has reserved a (£8500) seat on their campaign bus, still i expect charles kennedy is pleased they'll be less competition for 'refreshments' on board.
