Plurals should be all right, but as long as they are not just four letter words with an s on the end, because that's just a way of getting round the rules.

Ok so when are we going to end this vote? When the qualified majority is reached? That would be 11 votes.

Also votes must be simple yes or no, not yes to radii, no to quays. Such vote is not a vote on the issue and will not be counted.

Also those who vote for the artificial rule to prohibit plurals should also consider whether we should allow other grammatical forms such as past participles, gerunds, past tense irregular forms, third person present forms, etc... And if we forbid say past participles then someone might argue the word is not past participle but adjective actually. This will bring problems, conflicts, arguments and such. And that will reduce fun.

I don't see the reason to introduce new rules when it is well known that the game is more fun if it has fewer rules.

Anyone who regularly plays along can vote on the plurals issue as far as I'm concerned - it's mean to have an electorate based on points.

I knew someone would bring up the radii point. It is of course common or garden plurals of 4 letter words that is the main abuse of plurals.

Anyway, it looks like it is going my way.

Doc, if we let anyone vote there would be no way to set the required majority so the vote would never end. Right now, with kermit_the_frog mark the majority required to decide one way or the other is 11 votes.

Nope. If you haven't voted by say, Sunday evening, you aren't active enough to care and hence don't need to vote.

We need to decide if that should be Sunday or some other day. People might just be away during the weekends. And since this is the only hotly contested issue in Hangman so far it requires a longer voting period.
