	Why are Democrats throwing pies at opponents? Got spare money?

Last year, they hit Nader, then tried to hit Coulter. When the Democrat assaulters were arrested, attacks stopped for awhile. But they quickly resumed several weeks ago when a fellow-Democrat prosecutor dropped charges. Since their, three conservative speekers have been assaulted.

What gives? Why are Democrats, or at least, some Democrats, behaving like communists and anarchists?

Democrats are the opposition party. Seeing the other side pass bill after bill which seem to be, to them, betraying the American people naturally excites ire and passion. But at least they're throwing pies, not bullets. And after all, pie is free speech, and explosives aren't.

Why are Congressional Republicans, like House Majority Leader Tom Delay and Senator John Cornyn, threatening and justifying violence against largely Republican-appointed judges? And why is the Bush Administration not telling them and others to tone it down, insteading opting to call Delay "a friend" and saying they "[look] forward to continuing working closely with the [him]." ?

Classic Republican red herring argument!!!!

Lone nutter goes off and tosses pies and suddenly it's "Democrats throw pies!" but the entire Republican political elite back Tom Delay as he breaks a half dozen finance laws and he's just a lone bad apple? Funny, the Republican Party just loved pigging down Delay's dirty and illegal money and when it was exposed that he was a law breaking criminal the Party still backed him. They even went so far as to purge the house ethics committee of anyone who would investogate Tom Delay's many criminal acts.

It wasn't until after Delay's corruption and illegal activities were exposed in the media that the party finally gave him up. Now, they're like buzzards circling his dying political career while they try to paint Delay as one bad apple when the Republican leadership knew about and supported the criminal activities the whole time. They just didn't care if the law was broken as long as the money kept coming in.

The damn Republicans even went so far as to change the rules of the house (basically you have to pass a special law to do this) so that their criminally tainted boss could retain power.

This isn't one bad apple this is the corruption which is the Republican Party.

Funny as your response maybe. I don't know anything about Democratic talking points and those are simply the facts of the Delay case. He's a corrupt bastard and the whole party knew it but they didn't care as long as he kept the money flowing in. Now his bad press is slowing down the money train so he's out.

My outrage is not feigned but is most real. I'm just not surprised by the criminal activity of the Republican Party nor their red herrings about lone people tossing pies in order to distract attention away from their on going corruption scandal. I guess you folks in the Rush Limbaugh set have to fill that radio time with something though. Lord knows talking about the party's demons isn't allowed.

I suppose I should have avoided the insulting term "Damn Republicans" since it was unproductive. You have to admite though it is unfair to claim "Democrats throw pies" when the guy really isn't a Democrat and he most certainly doesn't speak for the party nor did he do anything the party asked him to do.

Could you atleast comment on the bases of the Delay case? I've heard, over the past several months, Republican backers say that it was all just a left wing conspiracy and that there was nothing to the charges. Do you feel this way?

I think he is a scum bag, but I don't hold him in as much contempt as you. I expect those in power to have skeletons. If you didn't, oddly enough, I wouldn't trust them.

I do think he should give up his hight power positions, and I do think the Dems are magnifying this out of all proportions.

As for the OP, radical dems are known for being ass clowns, far more so than their Republican counterparts
