	I got digital TV :) Got spare money?

It was a combo package really. Broadband, Digital TV and IP-telephony. Buy three, pay for two. So now I have like a 100 channels, which is nice since I only pay for 15... But most of them are crap anyway, mostly arabic and eastern european channels. I saw some hilarious commercials on some turkish channel, must be even funnier after a few beers

It seems like I donīt ever have to leave my apartment now. I can let the world come to me

duke, Iīm trying not to wear it out Itīs Firefly in an hour and Deadwood and Denis Leary on stage later. I just spent 2 hours flicking through the channels and watched snippets of History Channel, Discovery, The Heroes of Telemark, Snooker WC and Scrubs. Needed a break.

what is digital tv (yes I know from the name). But is it related to hi definition tv? It's only recently I've heard about it. And the goverment wants everyone to have one by the end of 2006 I believe, which isn't going to happen.

Digital TV can be either standard definition or high definition. Standard definition digital TV is little better than your normal cable, except that they can put more channels on digital TV. The cable companies try to hype digital TV, but it's no big improvement.

Sweden only has standard definition TV. The US, Japan, Canada, South Korea and Australia are the only countries with substantial programming in high definition right now. Most cable TV and satellite TV companies in the US offer at least a dozen high definition channels.

About 4 million US households subscribe to High Definition TV services. It's becoming a lot less expensive and Americans blow an incredible amount of dough on huge TV sets anyway.

That $400 27 inch HDTV looks like a piece of junk, but it still would be much better than a normal TV.

Yeah, Sweden has the cheapo Digital TV But who needs HDTV anyway? ****, who needs 100 channels for that matter? Digital TV is a scam to save money for the big TV networks, really. I only got it because it was an offer I couldnīt refuse. But the really annoying part is that the government has decreed that standard def Digital TV is the future. Thus the analogue TV transmissions will cease in 2007. All swedes must buy a digital decoder to be able to watch TV at all

7 movie channels, Hallmark, 3 Israeli Networks, 3 TV show channels, 8 Nature + science channels, 5 Cartoon channels (including an anime channel), Worldwide news networks, BBC prime.

Verto, progress is good. Forced progress is not so good. People should be allowed to choose if they want Digital TV or not. Itīs not like the analogue TV is falling apart
