And we should. We joined the coalition albeit for the wrong reason IMHO. There most have been a 1000 reasons to go to war with Saddam, but GWB chooses the one that isn't true and his allies chooses to use the same argument. But we here now and we can only leave when Iraq is secure. Anything else would be a betrayal of the iraqis and of the peoples who voted in the governments that now forms the coalition.

Nah, the world aren't prepared to go to war of noble reasons. Until that happens, we have to live with "possible ownership of WMD's" and try to squeeze in the advantages of liberating a people from a dictator.

Denmark is still nowhere near the US when it comes to blind and unconditional support for Israel. For example, during the 53rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly 1998 - 99, on the 22 resolutions negative or critical of Israel the US voted "no" 17 times (1 yes and 3 abstentions) as opposed to 0 no votes from Denmark.
Mogens Lykketoft, Denmark's Foreign Minister, has described Israel's targeted killing of Hamas leaders as the moral equivalent of the assassination of Israel's tourism minister Rehavam Ze'evi, has gone on record as stating that it was Israel, not the Palestinians, which was responsible for the violence; and has called for EU economic sanctions against Israel. The Danish General Workers' Union already boycotts Israeli products.

Well, SID (or 3F as they are named now) tried to start a boycot back in 2002, but I don't think its active anymore.
Btw, the name "Danish General Workers' Union" could lead someone to think that they represent most danish workers - they don't. 10 - 15 % is a more correct number.

Incorrect, in the example I gave it would be the exact opposite, voting no (to resolutions critical of Israel) would mean support of Israel. Voting yes could at least potentially indicate enmity, or even anti-Semitism according to the
Zionist web site where I got those statistics (it states that "Anti-Semitism in the United Nations is also a factor").
In other words, the point I was trying to make was that since Denmark never voted against resolutions critical of Israel, in marked contrast to the USA which voted against them over 3/4 of the time, its attitude towards Israel differs considerably from that of the USA (and opens itself to accusations of being "anti-Semitic").

That's the risk you have to accept when making independent decisisons.
Some even accuses us of being pro-american just because we aren't kneejerk anti-american.

You also said that the US had blind and unconditional support of Israel... which by your logic, indicates that Denmark is its blind and unconditional enemy. |
Or it could also mean (which is what I do indeed mean) that Denmark has a rational and reasonable policy when it comes to Israeli misdeeds, in line with all other European countries, in contrast to US irrationality.
