	Post Count Regeneration Thread! Remove this text

I am assuming that the site supports post count increases and reductions,
As on other sites I have heard other VB admins speak of the feature.

So this is an idea I had to help the staff rebuild people's post
counts back up to what they had been before the big crash.

To make life easier for the admin to help return lost posts,
could the affected posters on the forum who want their ranks
back to what they were, post their name and what their old
post count was. And please be honest and fair.

This is only for those who are really concerned
about the loss of custom avatar usage, etc.

I hope this idea is not too presumptuous on my part?

I'm really not sure. I was at king level and think I was somewere between 1500-2000. I didn't keep track of it as it's pretty irrelevant really.

But isn't the old threads coming back anyway? What's taking so long? And why have many of the official thread been posted over again if the intention indeed is to relive the dead threads?

I think MarkG said that post counts would be recalculated once the old threads had been resurrected, so I say bear with him for a little while longer.

I think that the threads were going to be restored after a server move due in the near future, and that the old threads were going to go to the archives, as it was tons of less work that adding them here...

But, seriously, I'm not aware of anyone here being hit with a 10% PCR for spamming, but bear in mind it can happen anytime. Be thankful Ming rarely has cause to comment.

Hell, I was a King for a few months, but quite frankly I don't care. I bought into PLUS so I can post huge messages for such things as the Source Code, but beyond that I'd rather my reputation as a scenario designer speak for itself.

Honest!

Well, if most people don't care, that's fine, but there were some
newer posters who lost out, and I recall that 'new people'
were foremost in our considerations for the community,
if the talk before the crash was to be believed...

My post count was about 3070. I'd settle for 3000 though (ie, enough to return to Emperor status).

I lucked out with the post count deal; at least my username still has a personalized avatar, sig, and titles.

Jimmy: I'm in the same boat as you, missed the lights go out. I came back a few weeks ago when it crashed, but I thought it would be all up again. Guess not We old timers miss out on all the action, no?
