There is a topic on our joint board with PAL and BAT. The topic is long and contains lots of information. I'm asking every member of our team to go to that topic, register if needed and read it. This could be the end of this boring game and we could move finally to the finals.

My opinion is yes. Why?
1. GWT will learn this very soon even if we don't tell them
2. We have clear superiority both military and commercially
3. There is a real chance we end this awful for us game

OMFG yes! If GWT team can be reasoned with, so they realize they aren't going to move on, then we can save everybody lots of time.

Speaking of which, how is the other game going?

The other game is all but done as well, if GWT wants to concede and end this game let them do so, so as long as we are assured that our three way alliance (especially with BAT) is solid then announce it.

Lets do a better job of picking our civ for game two, number one priority for attributes is AGRICULTURE.

It appears BAT had already said they want to announce the alliance and PAL hasn't said the vote is done but one of there players said they thought the vote would be unanimous to announce. So lets get voting people

Sounds good to me. I'm ready to get to the next level in this game and kick Trip's A$$....hehe (use MY spreadsheets for the CGN team, will you.....Well, I have a newer version that I've been using for a while.....).

I doubt that we will get any refugees from GWT. They were not willing to work with us in an alliance, and demanded our destruction. Depending on their constitution (or the lack thereof), GWT might unanimously hate us.

Wrong game.

APO and PAL allied to defeat CDG and are building up our continent. We are doing pretty damn good.

CDG escaped to a small sub-continent on the other side of the world.

BAT gave them refuge there, at it was land that was negotiated to be "theirs" during an uneasy chat with GWT.

PAL and APO made contact with BAT and have entered into an alliance with them to eliminate GWT.

As this is an elimination game, we are hoping that GWT will see the futility of playing this game out and admit that they are defeated.

BAT has said that they won't help us in an attack to finish off CDG, but they are a fourth rate power at this point at best. APO/PAL could wipe them out fairly quickly.

Again, both situations are in locked positions. This is the way the game is going to go mo matter what GWT and CDG do.

We know the out come and hope that they have the gumption to admit it.

(CFC is in the other elimination game)

DZ, this is the (hopefully) end of round 1 in a two round game. We hope that We can soon get started on the second round, before Civ 4 comes out.

question: was this whole game a "let's get back at GWT in revenge for the PTW ISDG" or did in-game circumstances truly lead to this 3-way alliance against them?

I am pretty sure we would of eventually aligned with the strongest team to ensure a quick victory against the weakest. However GWT would not play ball, and did not want to ally with any team allied with APO.

The decision was made for us.


Revenge ... nope.
But GWT made it clear they would be hostile towards us now & the next game, so it also made perfect sense to ensure they dont get into the finals.

I dont like the way how this game ended up, but it was the elimination game format we decided upon. It was always going to end this way. The game was decided by FAM negotiations (which is a GWT weakness), not gameplay.

yes well GWT has not been known for having particularly great diplomacy. If it comes down to "which of us is going to get the most (or best) allies", we'd definitely win.

Btw, what's the news with the other ISDG game? Did Lucky get served or not?

CFC was the next team eliminated by a 3 way alliance against them. That happened only this week.
