Last call for nominations.

The only elections we need to run are the MOW election, and the MoI election. For the MoI election, I think we should keep the top two candidates, because domestic affairs require a lot of work. As the Apolytonian Empire expands, we could probably just add another person to the MoI staff.

Well, since there are no Consuls as of yet (none have been elected) I would assume that there are three seats up for grabs.

Assuming we are sticking with the Constitution from the preliminary round, and election should be held on the 8th, IIRC.

I suppose we would take the top three vote getters and seat them in order of votes obtained. Most votes has three months, least votes one month.

We may then resume normal political activities for the August election.

We could do it differently, if anyone has any ideas.

Oops. it says the 4th is the close of nominations. I suppose that accomodates campaings.

As for the Consular elections, if we give the least voted the least time, for this round, what wdo we do in case there is a tie? Do a run-off for when their seat next comes up for re-election?

Yah, it's linked into the Ministry of Mystery thread, which is topped. Sometimes, I ignore the topped threads and I know that others also do to, I've seen it from views and posts that sometimes topping a thread can mean it's "death". People look for what is new, i.e. anything that is up just below the topped threads. If I do it, I know that others also do and I've watched the reactions to posts in Topped threads and to ones that are staying in the "first" screen and It can be significant, depending on wat the thread is concerning.

Which is why I've asked, several times, to have my spreadsheet thread De-Topped. That way, I know that people are looking at anything new that I'm putting into it and I Know that I need to get another "Tutorial" part out if it's getting too far down in the page. I hope to have it finished sometime within the next 2 weeks, but if it's getting too far down in the page, I know I need to work more towards getting an installment out than letting it just sit there.

Just so everyone is clear, for the Consuls, we are only voting for the time that they stay in, and for the Minister of Interior, the top two stay.

If there are two people already managing the MM, how exactly do you intend to help? I think you would serve better under another ministry where they need more help, as no one can deny your skills.

If another ministry needs me more I could help there too. As for what I would be doing in MoI, at this early stage where there's not a lot to MM, I imagine I'd be helping run sims and check out future paths.

GodKing is right. There isn't really much to do in the beginning. I would be fine with a deputy role for starters if GodKing wants the position, or we could jointly work together on military initiatives.

BTW, isn't the appointment of ministers the duty of the Consuls?

Constitutionally, and they exercised that power at first in Round 1. However, later in Round 1, it became tradition for the Consuls to follow unofficial elections.

Well, the Consuls still do. These are just advisory polls, that the Consuls use to pick positions. It's just our way of working with the constitution.
