I'm sorry that I am not the compassionate, selfless individual that you are who truly cares and is an advocate for the oppressed people of third world nations such as Uzbekistan. It's common knowledge the US gives a lot in aid to Uzbekistan, so I didn't figure I needed to cite it. But here you go. Type in: 'US military aid to Uzbekistan' on google and the first two links you'll see will be links about the US giving aid to Uzbekistan.

This one says the US cut 18 million aid from the 500 million in aid in protest of their human rights record (I know, how righteous of the US, to only give the Uzbeki government 482 million instead of 500), but then added an additional 12 million in aid, so I guess it is now up to 494 million.

As for US being involved, the media here reported they were actually hiding in their bases to avoid stirring up even more trouble

I'm sure some of them are crazy fundies, but the impression I have got is that the government there label any inconvenient person as "militant islamist", to make the rest of us look away when they torture them. It's all a part of the "war on terror"

I somehow doubt that it were liberal freedom fighters who stormed those prisons and freed other "liberals", and that it was the liberals who burnt down govt. buildings.

This is a 6 students flat. We have it all, flour, eggs, probably milk, sugar, all spices. So far I've only made cake of a premade mix, so I have no clue how to do it with "normal" ingredients.

I've made several cakes from scratch. Unless you have fresh flour, it will taste "floury." Also, if you don't have cake flour, the cake may be a bit dense. It won't taste the same as you're used to, but it can be quite enjoyable. You're probably better off going to buy the cake mix.

Alternatively, you might try cookies instead.
