Why's there no thread about it!

I have seen the semifinals yesterday... I liked Bulgaria and Norway best, but unfortunately only Norway made it to the contest. I'd say they had the best to offer music-wise.

Instead "music" like those from the Danes made it as well as Macedonia and Croatia (of course we all know why they get high rated... bastards voting for each other).

I also found it funny how the chick from Monaco appeared as singer for other countries as well
There were 2 others that looked almost identical...

Anyway, my hopes are on Norway

Bulgaria's representatives should be Kaffe if we are talking about the same thing.
They would never have won the nomination however if they have not voted for themselves in the Bulgarian competition. They SMSed some 50 k votes for themselves which was enough to win.

Watched it tonight on SBS. I have this to say about it:

Eurovision est un morceau de merde!!!

Apart from the busty european women... I hated it. The only redeeming quality was the aforementioned busty women and the dry British commentary.

You can't be serious. Those norwegians was an awful parody of a glam rock band. Try to dig up some of the good old bands such as David Bowie, Gary Glitter, Alice Cooper, Sweet, Slade, Suzi Quatro etc and soon you also will be rofl'ing.

Most of the contest/music sucks seriously, but it has a high chickfactor that makes it tolerable and watching it on bbc is even funnier.

Talking about chicks - I was a little worried that the romanian singer would make a double Janet Jackson (ok, to be honest, I hoped )

The only thing that's even remotely interesting is the tallying of votes at the end, especially as you get to hear the countries' names in French, and also things like "this is Ljubljana calling, here are the results...".

We sucked horrribly like we always do. I can't understand why these bozos get voted there, I know we're not a musical mecca but we have better than that. We've had some potential musicians participating in the contest to become the representor and competitor, and what do you know, it's always some god damn humppapelle who wins it all because 50+ year old votes dominates. For example Nightwish has lost, etc, everyone that actually has a name and something to give has LOST to some no name POS with a song that tells about something boring crap with composion straight from tv tune world.

But I am not disappointed. This is the tradition and if we somehow succeeded in this, it would shock me. So this is like winning to me .

Combat Ingrid, yes. not this year.. it was few years back I think, but they had established their name already. And that's just one example. They never win these heavy hitters, because the humppapellet only likes the **** we see every year, and then they wonder why they never win anything, or even points to begin with, when to the rest of us (and rest of Europe, rest of the world) it's obvious.

I agree with you guys, they were trying to do the glamrock thing and failed SADLY. I'm not a big fan of.. I'm into electronic music (no not the NRJ top 10 hits or MTV), but I have to admit I don't mind some glamrock every now and then . They lacked the balls, totally, in that regard. It looked like they were trying to imitate one, instead of BEING ONE.

Anyway, mark my words, they will still do very well in the finals. Almost every song was complete crap, I was thinking ot myself 'not again this ****.. what's the genre for this'.. it took my about 10 minutes when I rememberd the genre.. EURO POP! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Then again it made sense.. European Popular Music.. omg.. so horrible. Somehow it equals with low quality.
