	Threads in "Civilization Series (In General)" Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

Why are these threads moved to this forum while they're clearly about civilization IV and not about civilization in general?
Can this be fixed?

I saw "cIV" and interpretted it as "civ", not "CivIV". First thread returned to the "CivIV" forum.

As for "CivAnon", it is a marketing effort for "CivIV" but it speaks to "Civilization" games in general. It is cross-referenced in the "CivIV" forum still.

P.S. The forum split was made late yesterday/earlier today. After "CivIV"'s release, the "... (In General)" forum will be moved to the 'Miscellaneous' forum set.

On a related notice: I believe that the Civ-Non-Windows platforms should be under Other Games, not Miscellaneous.

DanQ, as a poly Emperor you should really know that civilization IV is being referenced to as cIV
And CivAnon contains cIV (ilization 4 :P) screenshots etc.
Of course it speaks about civ in general, but it's clearly aimed at the cIV release.

Giving the name I originally assigned the forum, I agree. In addition, it would be more consistent as "...-General" than "... (In General)" with the other "General" forums on-site.

I suggest to appoint a dedicated cIV forum moderator as well. I think Locotus would be a good choise. He is already putting much efford in keeping the cIV info streamlined overthere.

It'll be a good thing if the topped-threads would be better organised, and multiple threads about the same topic (old news posters) can be merged / removed.

I don't know if Locotus wants to be a moderator, but I think everybody on the cIV forum would agree.

FYI:

One, possibly two, moderators for the "Civilization IV" forum set will be announced and 'installed' by this time next week. Hopefully, a moderator for the "GalCiv2" forum set will be appointed at the same time.

Update on the "Civ4" forum set moderatorship:

Locutus has accepted the moderatorship position. Solver also applied for and has been accepted in this capacity too. As a result, they are now co-moderators for the "Civ4" discussion boards here.

You're estimates regarding Civ4's release tend to be off by quite a bit For once I'm inclined to agree though But I know Dan and Markos are doing what they can and will create the section as soon as they have the opportunity... and will do it at the level of quality that we are used to from them. Some things are worth waiting for
