The great wave of expansion that started with joncha's building of a new base continued into the next year, as nine more leaders built cities: Atragon, Jaguar, Kassiopeia, Spaced Cowboy, Skanky Burns, joncha, snoopy369, Sparrowhawk, and Hercules all annexed new realms into their respective territories. The massive buildup of infrastructre caused the price of building materials to increase exponentially; and, since the Eventesian economy was largely based in the construction and building materials industry (the fact that Eventis had had to rebuild itself several times over after the various disasters that befell it led to the developement of a self-sufficient building industry), the value of the Aårdmark, the currency of Greater Eventis, was quickly reduced to virtually nothing, causing even more chaos in the region.
In the midst of the chaos of the sector, though, war was declared by the filibustering forces of Straybow, who decided that some of Jaguar's cities needed to be destroyed due to some of them having the exact same name, and thus he launched 2 nukes, destroying the newly built city of Sometimes I give myself the creeps, as well as one of the Another Cities.
Tassaguillerian spies were unable to make contact with government officials with Lord Nuclear or Shogun Gunner; it is assumed that they were working on Evil Secret Projects.

The massive building booms of the previous two years came to a screeching halt this year, primarily for two reasons. Firstly, last year's economic collapse and the jump in cost of building materials made it a lot more expensive to build onto one's territory than to destroy that of others. Secondly, the twelve Lords had signed the Treaty of Jonchastan before the outbreak of conflicts, limiting each Lord to only 5 cities, lest a situation arise where there are only a couple of superpowers and their associate vassal states (see GO 8, threads 715-16). Nonetheless, three Lords built: Lord Nuclear built Jaguar Square, snoopy369 built the self-named Snoopy, and Shogun Gunner built Communication.
Meanwhile, in other sectors... Straybow's hostilities last turn were not viewed upon favorably by some of the other lords. Jaguar, along with his apparent associate Joncha, decided to launch a retaliatory strike. They each launched two nukes at Straybow, who was working on a secret project. Straybow was thus promptly...
The six others were all working on secret projects; the media venues of the region were unsure of their intentions.
