O.k., a quick cut on the techs so far:
We have all of the techs for Anchient Age Except for Republic, Construction & Currency.
Euph, DR & A-M don't have Monarchy, which with 3 civs having it, for the next person to get it, it's BEAKER COST is 420, and our original research cost was 600 Beakers. We have traded it for Lit from Euph and something else from Lost Boys (haven't gotten that far yet).
The next beaker costs for Monarchy are:
4th civ = 420
5th civ = 360
6th civ = 300
DR, LB & A-M Don't have Literature, with only 3 civs having it. For the next civ to get it, it's cost will be 175 (we "paid" 200 for it in the trade that had Monarchy that was valued at 480, very large disparity). I don't know if there is any no-retrade clauses attached to either of these techs.
The next beaker costs for Literature is:
4th civ = 175
5th civ = 150
6th civ = 125
As for the 3 other techs, the base and beaker costs are this:
code:
Tech Base 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th
Currency 16 400 360 320 280 240 200
Construction 20 500 450 400 350 300 250
Republic 28 700 630 560 490 420 350
This assumes that there will still be 6 civs when these are traded. If someone is eliminated, then the 2nd to whatever costs are reduced, the 1st cost is ALWAYS the same.
Now, according to what I've found out, based on these numbers, 2 Civs have Currency (no telling when they had gotten it, I would have to get the past saves to look at when exactly. But out 'cost' for buying it, assuming that we are the 3rd civ to get it would be 400 beakers. No one currently (as of the 1450 BC save) has either Construction or Republic, so they are paying the 1st cost to get it.
As for the first of the next age techs:
code:
Tech Base 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th
Feudalism 32 800 720 640 560 480 400
Monothesism 36 900 810 720 630 540 430
Engineering 36 900 810 720 630 540 430
Chivalry 32 800 720 640 560 480 400
Theology 40 1000 900 800 700 600 500
Invention 44 1100 990 880 770 660 550
So, for all intents and purposes, we should be selling our free tech for a starting cost of 720 (or 810) beakers, as we will already have that tech, when we get to the next age.
So, don't go and seel our free tech short.

Thanks for the spreadsheets. Looks like we are being taken as suckers tech wise. Then again BOH and Euphorica haven't decided to attack us. Peace is of what value?

Babylonians developed an abstract form of writing based on cuneiform symbols. Their symbols were written on wet clay tablets which were baked in the hot sun and many thousands of these tablets have survived to this day. It was the use of a stylus on a clay medium that led to the use of cuneiform symbols since curved lines could not be drawn. Perhaps the most amazing aspect of the Babylonian's calculating skills was their construction of tables to aid calculation.

re: Planet's picture.
Good thing the meanings are written in English. I thought the Early Cuniform for "to eat" was a cat playing the drums.
