There's one trick you can try, which simply is keep getting closer to her. In terms of body language, you try to move from her social zone to personal zone, and then into the intimate zone.

Don't forget to leave her room so she can back out if she wants, or she may feel violated.

Just move a step or two closer. If she doesn't appear to feel awkward or uncomfortable, repeat a little while later.

Space - she's 16. Please oh please double check the local laws. We don't want you in the local sex-offender registry - don't laugh. In some states if Space is 18 and she is 16, he CAN be charged with statutory rape, which even if pleaded down can get him a sex-offendor status. Where are you again? I know it's in the Southwest.

According to the only thing Ive found so far the age of consent is 17. Thats no problem for me though, I can wait. A lot of the people around here tell me the age of consent is 16, maybe I should call the local police department/DAs office and ask them?

My idea is similar except its more along the line of increasing playful banter, flirting more and more heavily until you might be touching her .

I once bantered an old friend and ex roomate into bed. I was early 30s and she was probably late 30s so there was no youthful hangups

We were totally in a friend type of discussion and she was complaining about her ex and how he would pretty abruptly declare he wanted sex. I told her there were better ways to say that. She was "like what" and I said "You look so beautiful tonight that I can hardly wait until I get to see you naked and kiss . . ."etc etc. She looked at me for a second but the moment passed and a few minutes later another friend arrived.

After the other friend left we bantered and flirted for a good while . Never did anyone say anything that wasn't half jokingly so either of us could retreat back to friendship mode. You can read the clues here. If I bantered about sex and she didn't I would have retreated to friend mode. But she kept going until se were both flirting pretty well. She actually brought things to a head.

Me with a big grin " Well I see 3 choices . . We can stop and go onto less interesting topics . . . Now the key for me was that even at the point of taking my hand, she could have turned me down and done it in a joking flirty way in which I didn't have to feel rejected . The friendship would have been fine.

I'm no superstar stud ( and am now a happy married guy) but when dating I often used banter to move things into more physical areas. When things are light and joking they are less threatening and I was always willing to accept a "no". Keeping things light means that they can give a "no" now even if they might be willing to give a "yes" later.

So banter and flirting are your friends. If you are good at flirting as you claim it is EASY to flirt yourself into closer physical contact where you can proffer a kiss. Heck you can even be obvious about it. If she wants to kiss you, she won't care that you are obvious.

Yes it would be legal if that is the applicable legal provision. In canada its the same in that they have an age limit, 14 IIRC but even that is waived if the other party is with I think 2 years of the age of the victim. they don't want to criminalize two teens getting it on but want to prevent adults from preying on children

You might have a four year age difference window where it is not a 4th degree felony, but it still might be a misdemeanor, which if that is the case could still get you on a sex-offendor registry. While I doubt they will help, you might try calling CPS - child protective services, or the district attorney, or the local police, especially the sex crimes unit. The latter are the critical people, they determine what they will prosecute.
