Interesting. They need to work on their FAQ a little bit, I wanted some more info but it was kinda hard to find.

I've always wanted a game like that where it's campaign style and you're fighting for territory.

Do they make their own maps or do they use the EA maps, or do they use both?

They have the same scenarion maps, but will add more. You can click on the strategic map and look what scenarios they have, and what will come. I haven't spent much time checking it, and I don't think they are ready to start the first campaign yet.

games where there are tons of people on a server are totally open to griefers. frankly, i don't know how people stand to play games like this as they don't work at all. games like this are all about teamplay and there usually is barely any. sure it's fun to find out how to win with a team of newbies as your only help but once you find out how it is also totally easy and boring.

I remember the good old days of Rogue spear

I enjoyed the 6-8 people in a game of dm survival

of course the maps werent as big

but it was fun

I like servers that have a "no foul language!" rule. I think it's hilarious that we're out murdering each other in large numbers but to say the s word is strictly forbidden!!!

well, I still will use my raging skills if someone on a server annoys me... I'll log off of my normal account and log back on and rage them until they quit or get banned.

It just wasn't productive though. I like building up my rank with my normal account. And I was wasted a lot of time raging people and my stats were awful (as expected).

unlike BF1942, you cannot change your nickname at will... your account name is your nick...

You can create many accounts yes but they are all tied to the same key. So if your raging account caused you to be banned you'd lose your proper account too.

and plus, I've been banned from servers and joined back with my other account with no problem...

Well in that case I'd suggest they should look at banning all accounts tied to the key when an account gets temporarily banned a set number of times.

well you shouldn't question my "game ethics" then... I play lots of team-oriented FPS like Counter-Strike, BF2, and I'm anticipating DOD:Source... I'm not like the guys at myg0t who purposely go around raging people instead of playing the game normally.

Part of it is my fault I guess. As I reread my posts, I didn't make it clear of what I do.

In playing these games, because I'm such an experienced player, I get very annoyed at other people who don't play as a team. Especially when they end up killing me trying to steal vehicles when I was waiting for them, etc.

I should have made it clear that I use my "raging skills" ONLY for people that hurt my team by playing this way.



One more comment. You said you are a veteran. That's good. But don't throw it in people's faces. I respect your service, but by bragging about it like that, it negates any respect you deserve for it.

It's like the pope or mother teresa saying they are a better person for the things they are done.

Better people don't say they are better people.
