Of course this will fall on deaf ears, but I don't believe that was appropriate.

Firstly, I always thought the last city must be captured or destroyed - this has deprived me of a possible extra city.

Secondly and more importantly, with Moonbars suddenly disappearing from the game without warning, I have lost some War Happiness associated with my state of war with him, plunging cities into rioting. This would have been avoided had I captured his last city.

No, not at all. I actually left your city for 2 turns so my desperately wounded GS, who were dispersed throughout the captured lands, could heal and then collect for the final assault.

I certainly didn't intend leaving your last city there any longer than was necessary. In fact, this turn was when my band of GS were going to make their way over there.

Anyway, I've had my moan, you've responded, let's leave it at that and go kill Euphorica instead (is this a private forum? )

With the C3C AI, this would worse than a player just quitting. The AI is so easy to manipulate.. Besides in this case the AI would have taken over a single city, the rest having reached the point where they could no longer be defended.
