I'll miss Ned, even though occassionally he would drive me absolutely crazy - like the time we got into a discussion on the Laffer curve However, Ned could genuinely surprise you, like the excellent discussion he and I once had at the end of a thread about the use of the A-bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Ned claimed it was unjustified, and had some excellent sourcing. I still didn't agree, but he showed how one could reasonably draw a different conclusion.

It is my experience that the o/t is almost all about opinions. And we all know opinions are like a**holes everybody has one. To need to be thick skinned around here is what you have to be. Ned was a good poster he had his opinions and not everyone agreed with them but that didnt make him a bad guy. If he is taking time away i hope this time gives him the solace he is seeking
