I was pretty upset at the time we thought Steverino had been killed, though I had my doubts when I couldn't find an obit.

The death post is frequently used by people who truly intend to never return to a forum, which is why I was slightly skeptical.

I'm pissed that FS yanked our emotional chain like that, but I am glad he's alive.

I remember clearly my reaction to the news of his untimely death. It was: "Does this mean the forums will work just a tiny bit faster with one one less poster."
and now this return from the dead.

It's wrong to say that no one met FG in person. At least one person from the CtP forums did. Yes, if it was a hoax, it probably caused no one a nerve breakdown or a prolonged depression, but it was sad for many people.

Then again, faded has always been somewhat of a pain in the backside.

i was on a MUD once upon a time...

this kid who was paralised and ill in a couple of a ways was a very influential member of the community. He passed away, and his parents, knowing he spent most of his day on the MUD, logged onto it to let the MUDers know he passed away.

That was very well confirmed tho. Obituaries and people visited his family and such.

the developers of the MUD made tribute rooms to him too.

This FG stuff is just funny tho. Not the drug addiction, but the back from the dead stuff.
