What makes you think I was referring to you? You fell a little short of moral outrage.

I didn't think you were referring to me, but I didn't see much here from others really rising to the level of moral outrage, either. Or, at least nothing out of the ordinary scale - some posters are just a tad more wound up about stuff in general.

No, a better prank would be if he really was dead and was trying to convince everyone he was alive, or someone was...and that would require the collusion of... JM, and only JM at this point.

If they were great friends then maybe FG shared his password...

I think it's telling that the people here expressing outrage tend to be the ones who had the least interaction with fg. Such self-righteous indignation over someone they barely knew and certainly didn't care much about.

But someone like Jon Miller, who had a lot more interaction with him, isn't all enraged. Very interesting.

I never knew him, or Scouce Gits or any of the others who died presumably. I didn't venture into the OT in the early days.

But yea, I'm not upset, I think its a fricking awesome prank. Maybe I should fake my own death in order to get into the hall of fame....

Though of course I've got too much of a web presence, y'all could just stop by the NYRA site and see me still going strong there. Oh well.

You guys are crazy. I admit, I didn't know FG well like the rest of y'all, but he is a total major d*ck if the whole "he died" thing was his own orchestration.

OTOH, when people are on coke they do that kind of thing. Hopefully hes recovering.

Oh I know, but this prank didn't hurt anyone. Poor taste? Sure.

But on balance, I'd rather have had it be a prank and fg be really alive and a chickenshit than to have fg be really dead.

Actually, from what I remember, there was a different thread a short while after that where several of us mused that it might be a hoax. I think che was the first to float the possibility, but I'm not sure. I think on any message board where nobody has actual contact with the person, it's a natural suspicion.
