EITHER California and Texas....
*OR* My home state of New York, and we'd take New Jersey with us(New Jersey, you guys are l33t!)
We have a very significant population, enough food production in our two states to support our two populations, trillions of dollars in corporate headquarters... manufacturing..... we have quite a bit of military power here too(New York has the largest sub base ON THE PLANET)
Then we'd be able to escape the stupidity of the federal goverment.
Small goverment > big goverment.
I bet I am the only person here to think of kicking out their OWN state .
If possible, New York and New Jersey(The United States of Liberty) would consider forging a confederation with Canada... canadas population is AROUND 32 million. The population of New York is 20.5 million and New Jersey is 8 million.

New York almost succeded a number of times.
I hate the federal goverment.
Given the choice I would emigrate to another country but A. I only speak english well B. no other country has the same security and C. its questionable if any other country has a better goverment.
I *REALLY* hate the federal goverment.
Not in a "I am moving to an isolated shack and writing manifestos about how much I hate technology" sort of way but in a "the U.S. population is so large that the federal goverment dilutes the value of my vote to the point of unimportance, plus the level of corruption which goes unquestioned infuriates me" sor of way.
Blocks of states where the only federal oversight is on matters of commerce, communication, transportation and mutual defense would allow Americans to actually have a say in their goverment. The federal goverment is so bloated, tyrannical, and CORRUPT that it will never be pure.
You and I have no say in our goverment-*NONE*. The crushing weight of an overwhelming majority combined with the ultra wealthy buying policy change has made our effect on goverment, zero.
If tommorow the entire world formed one democracy, your say in goverment would be identical-it has already been diluted to zero.
Carve up the country according to the desires of the individual states... New York, New Jersey and proboably Penn. as one, everything north of that would proboably want to either be in their own block, or independant, washington state, nevada and california as another... I bet you the mid west would be the least divided..... texas would proboably go off on its own, so would florida, the rest of the south would proboably split east to west, with missippi as the western border of one half.

No one really "hates" Texas, we just give you a good ribbing for your citizens' self-importance at being Texans. Congratulations, you were born and/or live in the largest artificial landmass of the lower 48 states. Now shut up about it, and take those stupid bumper stickers off your cars.
