Lord Nuclear was deemed guilty in a rather unprecedented and unexpected landslide, and he ended up voting himself! He bit the dust (and the many, many bullets), and finally the prisoners were convinced they had gotten rid of the killer - he had even confessed, at least in effect.
Such confidence was in vain, however, as on the following morning, Theben was discovered, killed in a very familiar way: garroted with barbed wire. Next to his bed was discovered a nearly full bottle of whiskey - this was considered rather odd, since Theben had never been considered a man of moderation. Or maybe he had been killed before had had a chance to drink...

Round 8
It was Reismark's birthday, but instead of a nice little present or a song or a cake, Reismark's fate was grim and gruesome. The vote was a disturbing landslide as well. The prisoners were now less than half of their original number, so the work on the tunnel itself was hurried - not so many support beams as before, a bit haphazard disposal of dirt, a tunnel barely wide enough to fit a man through.
And men was all the tunnel would have to accommodate, for the following morning, it was Mrs Tuberski's turn to end up on the courtyard, decapitated by a shovel. This one had been previously used on the orchard as the skeleton of a scarecrow, which was now in the ground in a shapeless lump of old clothes.
