There's been nothing deleted here in the thread. If I got banned, I would have been banned quite a bit sooner, rather than being allowed to keep posting.

Sure there is. Light deprivation isn't a very good thing for people, if you've ever lived in a northern climate during the winter. Lots of folks get depressed when they aren't getting enough light.

Yeah, and you know all about what was going on. I still don't know whether it will work out between the two of them, since they have plenty of big issues to resolve, but at this point I don't really care. Best case for me is to have moved on and then if it doesn't work out, to be able to say, sorry, you had your chance.

I'd say you have mostly spit out the hook Ben, a little more to go since you are still talking about their 'big issues to resolve', but you have come a long way.

Now, with me, I had to do the same, and again, and again, etc before I finally went to find my wife, and I've never looked back.

I was reading a paper at the casino earlier when I dropped off Dolores. They were talking about how the war in Iraq was so bad for marriages and how guys would move in on the wives of our troops. Gave examples of women who 'discovered themselves' (a liberal rag) and found out that they could cut the yard, pay the bills, handle a checkbook and realized that they didn't need their man anymore. Well, my brain was screeming coughfilipinascough! until they finally asked me to leave. I mean come on. Those women kissed goodbye to their husbands, bravely going off to war, and started humping the first slob that came along. 'Discovered themselves'. ****.

rant over, what was I talking about?

Well, truth be told, I don't know whether they have resolved them or not. I haven't spoken to either of them in months.

Relationships shouldn't be about needing someone in this way, they should be about wanting more than anything else to be with each other. If the only reason they were with their partners is because the man did all this stuff, then the man will be better off without them.

That's right Ben, but the liberal rag had to find a way to somehow not be critical of the women who ditched their husbands when they needed them most. So they put in that blurb about them 'finding themselves' and discovering they don't need their men. Can't be critical of sluts that might be buying liberal papers you know.

Funy thing was, the names of the trooper that got ditched...Jones, Cox, Sullivan. The names of the troopers whose 'marriages survived the war' ...Garcia, Hernandez...

Im not saying women dont play games they do but dont all of you guys get on that man soap box. Couples should be together cause they love each other and are willing to do what it takes to make a world together.

Sure LC, most men would. Girls however, 'just want to have fun'. Not all certainly, but you get my drift. Having your husband go off to war isn't fun I guess, poor things.

My wife would definately agree with Ben, and would wait however long it took for me to come home. She's truly a rock. Dolores is what I'd always dreamed of finding in a woman, and had to go 7000 miles to do so. My life up to that trip, my relationships with women was all preparing me to make that first trip. I had to get it beaten through my thick skull that I couldn't find what I was looking for here, I had to go. Now maybe there is a good woman like Dolores in this country, but I had no luck. So I invite the luckless to go too, and see what I've found, a woman who agrees with BK.

Amen to that.

And to be fair, which is what I was going to say, is that the reason why these marriages break up isn't just because of the women. Both folks have to pitch in, or else it isn't going to work.

While your monomania is cute, it isn't about girls wanting to have fun. It's about leaving your man because you discover you can handle the checkbook yourself, implying you only stuck to him due to perceived helplessness in the first place. A marriage is supposed to be about commitment to one another, not getting someone to take care of the checkbook.
