I guess I get girls to talk about themselves.. and find out about them that way..

however, that seems to not turn into any real interest in me.....

I never really like talking about myself, and when I do it is as me, not as some fake figure of myself tha is false

as to why yuo had no trouble Mrs Tub, adn I have, I don't know

I know a lot of other people who ahven't really had trouble, but most of my freinds have, whish suggests that Physics Grad Students need help

Physics grad students?? dont they have girls in those classes?? I kinda answered my own question, i had a neighbor that was alone and couldnt find a guy. Butas I hung out with her i figured out why guys didnt go for her. she was a *****. Not to mention 60 lbs overweight. So with those two combined i could see why guys didnt want her. There was one time when she tried to go after tuber on a drunk night, hes was like eww get away

so lets turn this into a physices problem. not from experience, but myu guess is that most physices grads fail in this area because they ignore the fundamental rules of science....study facts, not feelings. believeme, women telegragn in MANY ways if they are interested or not! they are telling you at EVERY moment of your "chance encounter" or "conversation" if they are interested. if the answer is yes, then you have to turn this "sorta interested" into " i MUST have his babies!!" and 90% of that is too feign disinrterst. it really isn't rocket science. but it requires self discipline and the confience to trust in yourself. again this soulnds cold, but practicve on a woman who you really aren't that interested in. believe me its much easier to try this when your heart isn't racing.

men do have a choice, but its to choose from women who signal they are interested. the trick, asa guy, is to spur interest in the one you hope will choose you. thnik for a minute. the whole "no means no" was directed at who? women ofr men? and what does that tell you?

As I've said before in these sorts of threads, my relationships have all come from friendships that became more or less intimate over time...I never saw the point of all the predatory stuff a lot of people try.

that's judegemental. if somenoe uses these "tactics" purely to use and discard fellow humans, then your opinion would be correct. but if good people like jon are apprised of ways to use human "partnering" behavious to attract the ONE, how is that bad?

you miss the point. tactics aren't there to "get" someone who doesn't want you. they aren't about "hiding" who you really ar. its al about recognizing the rules that drive attrafction and using them in your favor.

if you are playing darts and can do so with or woithout a blindfolfd, which would you choose? in either case, its still a game of darts, and its still you doing the throwing. the only question is , do you want to play the game with a handicap?

Rules that you give to other people are exactly that. Just to be clear, it's not any specific 'tactics' that I'm saying are bad. The problem is the idea of tactics that are universal.

Everybody plays some sort of game, simply because that's how human interaction works. From what I've observed, a successful relationship is largely dependent on both people agreeing on what game is being played and the rules they're playing by. (Of course, the definition of 'successful' varies depending on the rules you choose to play by.) So the sort of tactics you're talking about may be fine for you...but, if somebody who doesn't believe in them tries them, then they're misrepresenting the game that they're playing to their partner, and bad things start to happen. Either the partner eventually discovers the deception and recognizes it as such (in one way or another) or you resent the fact that you have to play a game you don't enjoy just to keep this person happy...and the whole house of cards comes crashing down.

So basically, the whole 'be yourself' thing is true. If you don't like the people that being yourself attracts (or doesn't attract) then the only way you'll really get them is to change yourself...the games you play will change as a result of that.

The subset of tactics that take place at "the club" are the most obnoxious of all these rules. They often emphasize rudeness and shallow values.

You often see these virtues espoused on LA Dating shows.
