I recall there was a huge fuss over a game in which you as a Nazi kill jews and run a concentration camp or something like that.

Excellent. It will be an efficient way to measure whether games indeed influence their players

Not really. The scientific lit on this is NOT that person plays game about killing folks with Ak-47s. person goes out and buys AK 47 and kills people. Its more along the lines of person plays game about killing folks with AK-47s, person answers psychologists questions in ways that indicate general level of aggressiveness is higher. Human minds are too complex for influence to be limited to direct imitation.

Enter the AD-FREE zone

More likely person who already wants to kill people goes out and buys a game about killing people. Perhaps the Feds should force game stores to release customer info ...

Regardless, my objection is that this game is dumb and simply intended to incite more parental objection (which of course increases sales), not that it's violent

Nazi Camp Tycoon... or perhaps Auschwitz Tycoon. Here is a tycoon kind of game yet to be exploited.

Meanwhile, you could start training for such a game with Prison Tycoon...

Maybe, buts that not how the studies worked. Random assignment of subjects, and all that.

Actually the game I was referring to was from early 80s but there have been similar versions ever since rearing its ugly head from time to time.

Bully isn't innovative. It's just 50% GTA and 50% Skool Daze.

It looks fun, but it's hardly original.

It could be good. After all, some people think Grand Theft Auto was just a game to shock people, but it's considered to be one of the best games series out there (highest rated games on the PS2 for one).

Play it... it's hard to describe why I consider it the best game series of all time without witnessing it yourself.
